Baby It's Cold Outside!
Business in the Auto Glass industry is pretty slow when weather gets this cold.
Did you know Windshields can not be installed in these cold tempetures outside.
Reason for this, is the Urethane will not cure when the temp is below 20 degrees.
BUT, there is still hope and other options……if you have a garage
that you can heat up, it can be done. ALSO. We carry in our van a heater just
for this kind of weather and will heat your garage for you…..(no extra charge)
So car and windshield can be put in anytime!! Let us know, and we will come to YOU!!

So....last night (around 7:20pm) the business line rings and I answer it. It is Walmart in Elk River. They need someone to replace a windshield in one of their customer's car. (Tech's were changing oil in said vehicle and noticed the windshield wiper was not installed right - so they tried to fix it and cracked the winshield). Manager was trying to find a phone book and instead asked the younger employees if they knew of a good glass company in the area.........someone said yes! The AutoGlass Installed Company!!!!!! HOOD HITS WINDSHIELD:
So, you are driving down the highway and your hood fly’s up and hits your windshield. That’s what happened to this car and driver. Scary – driver and car (not windshield) are fine, still scary.
Did You Know: Windshields are made with 2 pieces/sheets of glass and a plastic lament in the middle. That’s why they do not shatter into millions of pieces. Check to make sure your hood is latched after it’s been opened!

It’s a 1910….. yes, I said a 1910 Ford Woodbody! There are only 2 in the country - the other one is in a museum. Michael had the pleasure of cutting and installing 7 pieces of new glass for this car. And I mean pleasure, for his passion is working on the older model cars. He’s got quite a reputation among classic car owners when it comes to knowing, finding, cutting and installing auto glass.
