🚢 Cruise Travel Tip:

The ship doesn’t care that your flight was delayed.

The captain doesn’t care that there was a thunderstorm.

And the gangway definitely doesn’t care that TSA took longer than expected.

That’s why I always recommend arriving at your cruise port city at least one day before embarkation. A weather delay is annoying when you’re heading to a hotel. It’s devastating when you’re trying to make a cruise departure.

One extra night = a lot less stress. ✈️🏨🚢

🚨 Disney fans, this is your reminder not to wait forever on that “someday” trip.

Disney World’s Carousel of Progress is scheduled to close July 6, 2026, for a major update and is expected to reopen in 2027. The updated attraction will feature scenes set in 1969, 1985, 1999, and the future.

This is exactly why I always tell my clients not to assume your favorite attractions, shows, restaurants, or experiences will still be there “next time.”

If there’s something you absolutely love, make plans to experience it while you can.

Remember Maelstrom in EPCOT? Disney announced its closure and just a few weeks later it was gone forever.

Thankfully Carousel of Progress isn’t going away, but some classic moments we’ve all quoted for years may be. It may be time for one more ride before the updates begin. 🎠✨

🚢 Hot cruise take of the day…

If your cruise line started charging $5 for room service, would it change how often you ordered it?

Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure, is introducing a room service fee, making it the first ship in the fleet to do so.

Personally, I think the bigger question is whether this stays limited to one ship or becomes a fleet-wide change in the future.

What do you think? Smart move or slippery slope?

The service features hyperlocal forecasts around the parks, including real-time storm tracking, lightning alerts, heat indexes, rain timing, and weather conditions that could impact attractions, entertainment, and nighttime shows across Walt Disney World.

With Central Florida weather changing by the minute, especially during summer afternoons, the new experience is designed to help guests better plan their park day, whether that’s timing a ride, hopping parks, finding indoor attractions before a storm, or catching fireworks before the rain moves in.

This could quickly become one of the most useful planning tools for a Disney vacation.

Swim-up bars, cabanas, family splash areas… looks like Carnival is giving this stop a serious glow-up ✨

Let’s face it…not many of us like our passport photo. Whatever you do, do not try to modify it.

Reminder! Do NOT use AI or digital editing tools on your passport photo. We will not accept photos that are edited or filtered. Your photo should be recent (taken in the past six months) and look like you (the TSA or CBP agent must be able to tell it’s you!).
