My Thump’em Up Fishing thumper helped get my bait tank to capacity yesterday. Catfishing was tough with a bunch of short bites on anchor and drifting. We only caught one little blue. The morning bite is still best at Tillery

Executive decision to stay home this morning was a good one. I’m excited to see the rain and look forward to some killer fishing when the rain and especially the wind subside.

I headed out early this morning to catch some bait and do more catfish recon. I stocked up with over thirty bluegill and perch then had a really good drift, landing 8 blues all before 10am. By that time it was hot and didn’t want to run too long since I have some office work this afternoon and then Wu-Tang Clan tonight. Remember, Wu-Tang is for the children and book your trip today with Grassy Island Charters!

My friend Lee Leviner and I headed out on Lake Tillery this morning to do some fish recon for future guide trips. We caught 9 fish, including a trophy fish landed by Lee. It was a great day on the water with the temperature much cooler this morning. The bite has been better for me lately during daytime and definitely more comfortable for fishing in the morning!
