Currahee Winery located in Toccoa, GA. On Sunday, August 9, 2026 we made the 60 journey to visit this winery. It has a small tasting room but they are in the process of enlarging it. There ia a beautiful view and we enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying our wine and the view. The wines: Pinot grissio nice semi dry with a nice citrus finish. Ms Lilly Pinot Sauvignon blanc blend. Drier. Nice blend. Cab Sauvignon Reserve rich dark chocolate mouth with lite tannins. Cab Sauvignon smoother less tannins. Currahee Red, A red blend of cab Merlot and syrah nice sipping wine

Cloudland Vineyard in Buford, GA. On August 5, 2026 after going to a doctor's appointment in Atlanta we stopped by Cloudland for a tasting. It is a very small winery without much of a view. We had a very pleasant time talking with the wine hostess and a couple of customers. There was also the very friendly Leo the wine dog to keep us company. The wines: Sauvignon Blanc had a crisp dry lemon finish. White Wine Blend had a thickness to it and a nice mellon mouth with a dry finish. Wildflower had a pickle juice taste. Rose' a light Rose' with light tannins. Sangiovese Cinnamon mouth, dry, bought a bottle. Petit Verdot mellow, it grows on you, with a nice tannin finish. Disclosure nice blend, smooth and no tannic.
