We are assisting our client to advertise and sell their 1872-1873 Chickering Rococo Grand Square Piano.
This piano was the largest full-size grand piano that Chickering made during this time. This one does come with blemishes and could benefit from some surface work done to the top of the cabinet. In the pictures to follow, you will see areas that need to be glued back on, the owner believes they have the missing pieces. Their hope is that we can locate someone that will bring this piano back to its 'grand' days.
A fully restored Chickering Grand Square of this age can bring upwards of $15,000 and up. We are asking $4,400 in its present condition. It does play, there is a key that does stick according to the owner. It would benefit from a good cleaning and tuning.
We are looking for serious buyers. The buyer would be responsible for setting up pickup and/or shipping from Rock Stream, NY.
