Captain Noah putting the boys on a quick limit of fish this morning. It’s nice to be home on a Sunday with the family and have the boat out making some memories. Don’t get me wrong it’s alittle nerve wrecking handing over the operation but he’s spent enough time with me on the boat that I can say I put the right man in charge when I’m not around. Trusting, fish magnet, and a fishing encyclopedia a great addition to our adventures! Prime dates are still avalible don’t let time get away from you and secure your spot today!

Let me reintroduce myself . My name Zack short for Zachary. People call me son, daddy, husband, ranney, and captain. I’m a traditional valued born sportsmen who politically leans conspiracy theorist. Unless you want to hear about how we are all pawns in the system, I keep politics off my boat.
I like anything outdoors and my family. I’ve been chasing this dream of being a full time charter captain religiously for 4 years now as an LLC, 3 of those years I have successfully made it to the point of trying to make it through the winter without fishing. I’m able to do that with the help of my wife and my multiple trades I’ve acquired since dropping out of high school and spending the first couple years of my young adulthood finding purpose. Been in love with my wife since I was 18. Worked for over 7 years at a papermill, with some of those years spent running a crew on a multimillion dollar state of the art paper machine. Only to find out money isn’t the key to happiness.
I’m trying to stay humble in this world of chaos and the best way I’ve found out how to do that besides bring joy to my children is bringing joy to others in the form of water therapy. It keeps me going.

Fish made us work today, but we got rewarded throughout! Getting blown off tomorrow and with the big push of fish entering the sound we are excited to see what Sunday and Monday hold for us.

All I had to do was post some big fish to get you excited? We just started, and I always hope to save some pictures to use throughout the winter, but I guess I don’t do enough to tell you now is the time! Denver came out with me last weekend not knowing exactly what we were catching. I’m glad he listened to me when I said “hold on tight to that rod they will take it right out of your hands.”

Well we go east in the summer but had to change up plans for the ramp construction. What does that mean? Gota start all over to find the fish. Today was the scouting mission.
Wasn’t hard they were right where I left them in October.
🤘 🙌 🔥

They were coming every which way today. Casting, jigging, trolling but one thing is for sure now is the time to get your trip booked!

That’s was a start for sure! We saw great fishing and we saw some slow fishing. Typical May in my opinion. Water temps are cold in the salt and the river just couldn’t clean up all week from the flood gates that opened up from the north last Friday. We just do what we do best. Right tide right time! We had a couple slow trips but we never had a bad trip.
It’s only up from here and I don’t know if anyone knows but JUNE is the prime time to get on these migratory fish easily. The month of May you gota work for these fish. Flutter spoons, bucktails, diamond jigs are some of the proven methods. We were actually able to get into some topwater fish yesterday but honestly I hate working for these fish. Soon enough it’s going be as easy as putting the rod over the side. Our next open boat is going to be June 1st at 5am! I have two seats available.

I’m super super stoked to be announcing this. Since the start of business I’ve been looking for a way to make this happen and it finally hit me the other night. It is a very organized collaboration of local business from lodging in the area, charter businesses, and even the ice cream lady! The hardest part of my job is driving by the beach week in and week out watching the families having fun.
We are still working out some details with the state to make this a possibility for you. We got the ok in full from the fishing division and still awaiting word from the boating division but if everything is an a ok (no reason it shouldn’t be) we are going to be looking at a weekend in mid August just before school back up for the kids!

We started in the industry, making a name for ourselves offering different experiences and techniques at a budget friendly price. This right here hasn’t been done and we are looking forward to being the pioneers! I want to hear your thoughts and even some interest if it’s there? From the dock we are 10 minutes from the beach and 10-15 mins from proven fishing grounds. You’d be amazed at what can be done in the amount of time.
🤞 we will have a date next week for you.

We had our first full day of the 2026 season yesterday, and I’ll I have to say is there is clear signs of the season we all deserve coming very soon. With the flood gates opening over the weekend from the north, the river turned from productive to a hazard trying to navigate we focused our attention in the ice cold water of the sound 😂. Over night the fish on the screen went from dozens to hundreds and I’m anxiously awaiting for the next tide. 🤘
With my first actual day off in months I can finally concentrate on just the business and I’m working on a plan to get all your families to the beach in July and have a summer like no other! But in the mean time we have some dates to book and our first open boat is going to be this Friday at 11:15 am. This trip will be the last booked out of old saybrook as we were just informed about the brief state launch closure. Maybe if we get reports of a major frenzy in the river after it reopens we can return for a week or two but we are content staying in our easterly home!

Don’t forget about our customer appreciation incentive happening right now until July 1st! You book a trip with us before then with a deposit to seal it you are entered in for a free 6 hour trip in the fall. No fine print pretty simple. Book your adventure and get the chance to do it again in the fall. Noah’s going to be on the water tomorrow and I’m looking forward to seeing what 36 hours can do. All it takes 6 hours .

What a perfect day to be on the water! Not for an extravagant fish count but the laughs and company for sure. After doing over 50 hours with me last season and taking the boat himself this spring in stonington I had to get captain Noah used to the spot in old saybrook, and he’s teaching me some tricks out in the salt! If you spend a day in life not learning somthing what’s the point right? Looking forward to the first full day of the season tomorrow. We have dates through June you don’t want to miss out on this experience.
