🇨🇷 Costa Rica Recap — Part Two! 🌿✨

After our incredible stay at The Springs Resort & Spa, we toured another beautiful resort in the Arenal area before continuing on to Rio Perdido—and WOW, what a change of scenery!

Here we hiked through the rainforest, explored volcanic landscapes, took in the incredible views, and had the option to zipline through the canopy or visit the thermal springs. 🌋🌿

But one of the biggest highlights for me here? The spa. 😍 From the natural surroundings to the peaceful atmosphere, Rio Perdido truly feels like a place to slow down, reconnect, and recharge.

I could especially see this being an incredible destination for wellness-focused travel and private wellness retreats—think movement, mindfulness, spa treatments, nature, adventure, and plenty of time to simply breathe. 🧘‍♀️✨

Costa Rica continues to surprise me around every corner… 🇨🇷💚

🌿🇨🇷 Costa Rica Recap: Part 1 — The Springs Arenal 🇨🇷🌿

Our Costa Rica adventure started with two incredible days at The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal—and what a way to begin! 🌋✨

We hiked the hanging bridges, explored the rainforest, and had some AMAZING wildlife encounters along the way. 🐒🦥🐍 We spotted an eyelash viper, sloths, howler monkeys, and so much more!

But I have to give a HUGE shoutout to our incredible nature guide. ❤️🌿 Having someone who knows the rainforest, understands the wildlife, and knows exactly where to look made such a difference. We absolutely would NOT have had nearly the unique experience we did without him!

And honestly, this is one of the many reasons I love what I do as a travel advisor. It’s not just about booking the hotel. It’s about having connections to the best local guides, experiences, and people who can take your trip from great to unforgettable. ✈️🌎

We also had an incredible lunch with Arenal Volcano as our backdrop. 🌋🍴 This is one of those experiences that can be arranged for couples celebrating an engagement, anniversary, honeymoon, birthday, or another special milestone. ❤️

And adventure was everywhere at The Springs! From rafting down the river 🌊 to exploring the resort’s numerous natural hot springs ♨️, there was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

Costa Rica reminded me that this is so much more than a beach vacation. It’s about rainforest, wildlife, adventure, incredible food, unforgettable experiences, and the people who help you discover it all. 🇨🇷

✈️ ✨ I’ll be out of the office beginning TODAY through the weekend spending some very special time in Florida with our precious grandson, Miller, as we celebrate his FIRST birthday! I mean is he not just the cutest?!? 🎂💙 I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone, and I’m so excited to soak up every minute of this special milestone with our family.

Then, beginning August 23, I’ll be heading straight from Florida to Costa Rica! 🇨🇷🌴
I’ll be traveling with one of my favorite travel partners to complete site inspections and tour several properties throughout Costa Rica. This is one of the things I absolutely love about being a travel advisor—getting out there, experiencing properties firsthand, and gaining the knowledge I need to better match my clients with the right vacation.

✨ I will still be working while I’m traveling, but my response times may be a little slower than usual as I’m touring resorts, traveling between properties and experiencing everything Costa Rica has to offer!

✈️🌎 TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY: FAMILIES, DON’T WAIT TO BOOK 2027! 🌎✈️

If you’re a family, this is your sign to start planning those Spring Break 2027, Summer 2027 and beyond trips NOW. 👀

One of the biggest travel myths I hear is, “We’ll wait until it gets closer. Prices might come down.”

Unfortunately, that strategy can backfire—especially for larger families. Also- if prices were to drop after booking we typically can apply the price drop if outside final payment!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Why? Families need specific room configurations, connecting rooms, family suites, or accommodations. Those options are LIMITED, and they are often the first to disappear.

By waiting, you may end up with:
❌ Fewer resort options
❌ Less desirable room categories
❌ Higher pricing
❌ Less flexibility with dates
❌ Having to split your family between rooms

And when it comes to school breaks, demand is already HIGH. Waiting doesn’t guarantee a better deal—it can actually mean paying more for fewer options.

✨ My best advice? Book early, secure the accommodations that actually work for your family, and then enjoy having the trip on the calendar!
