Honest Review of Grand Lake, CO ⛰️

Overall: 9/10 for a weekend escape. It’s secluded but there is still plenty to do, amazing lake + mountain views, and quick access to RMNP. Super dog friendly too 🐾

We stayed at Grand Lake Lodge (7/10) — incredible views, live music, great restaurant… but the cabins are very small.

Deer Deck: 10/10 — cozy fireplace + unbeatable views.

Food highlights:

• Grand Lake Chocolates (8/10) – high recommend Moose Tracks or Huckleberry ice cream, but there are over 20 flavors to choose from

• Blue Water Bakery (8/10) – great breakfast (pastries are to die for) + coffee- go early to avoid long lines & to enjoy their patio near the lake

• Taco About It (7/10) – great quesabirria tacos, but not a lot of room to sit down and eat as there are only a few picnic tables

• Miyauchi’s Snack Shack (7.5/10) – great snacky (fried) food, expect long lines

Moon Frog Coffee (7/10) — great drinks & cute vibe (located in Winter Park on your way out of town)

Dog friendly: 8/10 — a lot of places welcome pups + beach/lake time

Vibes: 10/10 — cozy, romantic and family-friendly

Would definitely go back 🤍
