What a great way to start the morning with this awesome mother-and-son team!
I'm glad we got on the fish early because the Corps of Engineers decided to open five floodgates and a conduit, which quickly changed the conditions and blew the river out. Fortunately, we had already found the fish and were making the most of it.

This young man had never caught a fish before, but I was determined to change that. Using Pautzke Bait Company fire bait, it didn't take long before both anglers were hooked up and putting fish in the boat. Within minutes, they were catching fish consistently, and before long, we had a limit in the livewell.

As the water started moving harder, we made the decision to head downstream.

The move paid off, and this young fisherman continued catching fish and having the time of his life. Watching someone catch their very first fish, and then hearing them say, "I've never caught so many fish!" is what makes guiding so rewarding.

It was an honor to be part of this experience and help create memories that will hopefully keep him fishing for years to come.

Everything was bigger in Texas... except the fish stories today! 🀠🎣

We had a great group of four anglers join us from my home state of Texas, and the morning started out absolutely perfect! β˜€οΈ Warm weather, calm water, and fish willing to cooperate had us feeling pretty good early on.

Then things changed when all five floodgates were opened 🌊😳. As many anglers know, sometimes Mother Nature and water conditions get the final say, and the bite slowed to a crawl.

Even though we called the trip a little early, we still put several fish in the boat 🐟 and had an absolute blast spending the morning together. Great conversations, plenty of laughs, and new memories made on the waterβ€”that's what it's all about! 😎

Thank y'all for choosing to fish with us. We truly enjoyed having you aboard and hope to see you back on the water again soon! πŸŽ£πŸ‡¨πŸ‡±

Sky took these folks from Texas out today. Dads both stated the boys were good and that they would need the help. Well fish totals told a completely different story. We hit our first spot and Team Dad caught the first fish, the biggest fish (a nice 15 inch bow) and by the end easily the most fish. Using Pautzke Bait Company fireggs with a wax worm was definitely the ticket. The boys did put up a good fight but in the end Team dad smoked them. Thats what happens when the smack talk come early in the trip. We will definitely keep tally for your next adventure with us.

Trip #2 today was with guide John.

These folks made the trip up from Texas looking to enjoy a day on the water, and the fish cooperated nicely. We stayed on a steady rainbow trout bite throughout the trip, catching several quality fish along with a limit of smaller trout headed home for the table.

The action didn't stop there. A surprise yellow bass joined the fun, and the highlight of the day was a beautiful 19-inch walleye that put a smile on everyone's face.

It was a great day on the White River with some wonderful people. Thank you both for spending the day with us, and we hope to see you back in Arkansas again soon!
