Sky's trip this morning was with these folks from OKC. We had to move a bit early but once that first fish hit the boat it was on. The young lady on the boat had never casted a spinning reel or caught trout. Both things are not an issue for her any longer. By the end of the trip her partner and I began to think we were just along for the ride. She casts like a pro and well we wont discuss the whooping she put on us. We had a great time and look forward to doing again next time. Thanks for choosing Busch Mountain Fishing Guide Service to enjoy a great morning on the water with.

🎣 What a day on the water! 🎣

These three anglers put together an awesome day of guided fishing! 🙌🐟

The morning started out cool, but it warmed up quickly and turned into a beautiful day to be on the water. ☀️ The best part? No generation and plenty of action!

🎯 Total fish boated:
🐟 19 Trout
🐟 5 Walleye
🐟 1 Perch

That’s 25 fish in the boat! 💥🎣

Lots of laughs, plenty of bites, and memories made out on the water. We hope to fish with you all again soon! Thanks for choosing us for your fishing adventure! 🤝

🎣 Tight lines & see you on the water!

Guide John and his morning client, got a 2nd bite at the apple.

ROUND 2 — AND THE BROWNS CAME OUT TO PLAY!

John headed back out with his morning client to get after a few more fish, and the falling water was exactly what they needed.

The Browns TURNED ON!

They went barbless, so a few good ones managed to earn their freedom early, but the action was steady and they were getting absolutely SMASHED on a regular basis.

Sometimes one round just isn’t enough!

Another great day on the Beaver Tailwaters with Busch Mountain Fishing Guide Service.

Trip 4 was with guide Jim.

I had the great pleasure of getting to fish with Mark and Linda today. They wanted to celebrate another trip around the sun and decided to chase some Beaver Lake bass.
The morning started off cooler and kinda slow. We finally found our groove and boated several nice bass. There’s always the “ big one” that got away and that sure happened again. At least he showed us how big he was when he tail walked across the water and shook that lure out of his mouth!!
We enjoyed nature in all her glory and just had a wonderful day on the lake. Can’t wait to fish with this power couple again!!

TROPHY BROWN TROUT SEASON IS COMING!

We’re getting ready to hunt the fish that make your knees shake.

We don’t approach trophy brown trout fishing by simply picking a date and hoping for the best. We target specific feeding and movement windows when conditions give us the greatest opportunity to put a truly exceptional brown in the boat.

Our primary trips are built around LIGHT TRANSITIONS, with typical fishing windows of:

Morning:
4:00–8:00 AM or 5:00–9:00 AM

Evening/Night:
6:00–10:00 PM or 7:00–11:00 PM

There is science behind targeting these periods. Brown trout movement and feeding activity can be influenced by light levels, water temperature, river flow and generation, seasonal movement, weather changes, water clarity, and lunar conditions.

But we’re taking it a step further this year.

INTRODUCING OUR PREMIUM TROPHY DATES

We’re identifying select dates where the conditions and historical information line up particularly well for targeting trophy brown trout.

Our Premium Trophy Dates are selected using multiple factors, including:

Historical catch and fishing records
Moon phase and lunar illumination
Sunrise, sunset and twilight
Water temperature
Generation and river flow
Recent and approaching weather patterns
Barometric pressure and weather changes
Seasonal brown trout movement
Pre-spawn and spawning behaviour
Water clarity
Years of experience fishing the Beaver Tailwaters

These aren’t guaranteed fish. There is no such thing in trophy fishing.

Instead, we’re using the information available to us to identify the dates and time periods when we believe the odds are most favourable.

Trophy brown trout fishing is different.

We aren't chasing numbers.

We’re hunting ONE BITE.

The kind of bite that turns into a fish you remember for the rest of your life.

If you've been waiting to chase a true Beaver Tailwaters trophy brown trout, now is the time to start planning.

TROPHY BROWN TROUT FISHING — STARTING SOON

Limited Premium Trophy Dates Available.

Big fish. Cold water. Low light.

ONE BITE CAN MAKE THE ENTIRE TRIP.

Trip #3 today was a 2 boat Trip with guides Sky and Mike. These folks from Kansas kept us on our toes and working hard with the early bite. Friendly bets were made and Sky's boat my have been the big winners (we did have and extra person when it came to totals, but still caught enough extra to win it all) these guys were a true joy and are already planning their next trip back. Lots of fish were caught and they took home limits of fish for dinners.

🎣🔥 46 TROUT + 6 WALLEYE… AND ONE BEAUTIFUL BROWN! 🐟🤎

These two came ready to fish, and the Beaver Tailwater River definitely delivered! 🙌🎣

They stayed at Bush Busch Mountain Fishing Lodge and spent the day on the water with Bush Busch Mountain Fishing Guide Service . With no generation to start the day, we got right to work—and the bite was ON! 💥

By the end of the trip, we had 46 trout boated, including a nice brown trout, along with 6 walleye! 😎🎯

It started off cool, but warmed up nicely as the day went on. Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water! ☀️🎣

But here’s the big question… 👀👇
Would YOU rather catch 46 trout or land the biggest walleye of the day? 🐟🤔

Thanks for fishing with us! Hope to see you both back on the water again soon! 🎣

Trip # 2 today was a fly fishing trip with guide John.

Hitting the water early, Richard and I were looking for some better-than-usual bites. We spotted a few chunky, slow-moving browns, but they weren’t quite willing to commit. Luckily, the rainbows and walleye were a little more cooperative!

Richard has plenty of experience with both traditional tackle and fly fishing, so it made for an easy-going morning. We picked up fish on both, but as the sun climbed higher, the bite definitely started slowing down.

No trophy fish today, but there WILL be a walleye dinner!

Thanks for coming out, Richard. It’s always a good time when you stay hooked up—and if my boat had priority boarding, you’d definitely be on the list!

Had a great time with these return clients from the Kansas area!

I haven’t been on the river in several months because I’ve been spending most of my time fishing Beaver Lake, so I figured it was time to remind them trout that I’m still around!

We hit the water on an absolutely beautiful morning, with temperatures in the high 50s. As soon as we got to our fishing spot, these two picked up right where they left off last time, boating fish after fish using Pautzke Bait Company Fire bait.

I definitely got my up-downs in for the day, trying to keep up with these two. We had several laughs, caught a pile of fish, and even got to see Geraldo!

I’m pretty sure them trout are glad I primarily fish the lake now, but it sure was good to CATCH up with them. LOL!

Great time, guys! Thank you for coming back and fishing with us again. We truly appreciate it!
