We honor all those we have lost to HIV and all those living with HIV. We remember former honorary lifetime board members: William Hiett, Robbie Stone, and Myron Taylor.

On this World AIDS Day the Tri-State Alliance kicks off our AIDS Holiday Project and remembers the late William Hiett / Tiffany S*x Jones.

William was a lifetime honorary board member and supporter of the Tri-State Alliance, a renowned entertainer and a great friend.

This was his message on World AIDS Day in 2018 at the University of Evansville World AIDS Day service. He died exactly 1 year later on World AIDS Day 2019.

We honor all those we have lost to HIV and all those living with HIV.

We Remember: Ryan White passed away on this day April, 8th, 1990. His story has touched millions around the globe, and through the Ryan White Care Act an untold number of lives have been saved. Through this act people living with HIV in the United States with low income, and/or no insurance can access HIV medications for FREE through each states AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP).

Ryan White never surrendered—not to AIDS, not to despair, not to the fearful public passions that his illness once aroused. Diagnosed in 1984, he successfully challenged his school board in Kokomo, Ind., for the right to attend classes—and became a reluctant celebrity. Later he moved with his mother to nearby Cicero, Ind., in hopes of finding a more ordinary childhood. But Ryan White was not ordinary. With his smile and grace, he taught the world not to surrender to fear. This is the story of his final journey, told by the only reporter Ryan’s family wanted to be there.
