Facebook policies ban the sales of animals. So, why are there SO many backyard breeders posts allowed on pages? Baffling! Thankfully, we have noticed that now most of the posts we report get removed. The more people buy, the more backyard breeders will continue. If they have trouble selling, they may rethink another litter.

Join us at Long Dog Inc. on Saturday, October 17 from 10 AM–2 PM for a dog-centered fall festival built around community, trying new things, and having a really good day with your dog.

There is no general admission fee to attend Dogtober. Many activities are included at no cost, with select experiences available by ticket or separate purchase.

Whether your dog is ready to try something new, show off some tricks for treats, spend a fall day with their favorite people, or finally wear that “where do I even wear this?” item that’s been sitting in the closet, there’s a place for you at Dogtober.

Dogs don’t need to be perfectly trained or social butterflies to attend. We simply ask everyone to keep their dogs under control, respect each other’s space, and help us create a fun environment for dogs with different personalities and experience levels.

🐕 Bringing a dog? Registration is required at no cost. Same-day registration will be available as space allows.

Guided Agility and Aquatic Experiences require advance registration and an activity ticket. Space is limited.

COMMUNITY MEMBER NEEDS URGENT, TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR 3 PETS UNTIL MID NOVEMBER

Howie is a golden retriever and is a very gentle soul. At 6 years old, he loves to walk long distances, play fetch, and lay on the couch. He does not want to the outside unless you are.
He is intact and hasn't been bred. Will update on vaccines. He is completely crate & house trained, and comes from a service line. A simple "No Howie" will do, he is the baby. He is bonded to Hallow.

Hallow is a street cat turned house cat, or maybe it's her calico personality. By age 7 this Feisty Pepper has 7/9 lives! she loves a nice sunny spot, & a good scratching post. She can be a social kitty & is quite curious. She is bonded to Howie. Howie was a puppy when Hallow had a litter of kittens (she lost one of her lives at conception), so her motherly instinct were in over drive!

Lastly there's Big Boy Leonard, he's quite a particular fellow. Leonard came to us around 9 months old, & tolerates few. He is calm and fluffy, & both he and Hallow chirp, mew & wrestle. Leonard will find a quiet room and can become ghost cat. When it's time for dinner he isn't shy to remind you. Leonard is neutered.

These animals come from a quiet low volume household, & Howie is moderately active.
Howie can walk about 2.5 miles daily, couple times monthly, or be a couch potato, it's a choose your journey. This is also the golden retriever who walks himself, I would love to be able to visit and take him out. He does enjoy rawhides, and big cuddles with his head in your lap and sharing the other side of the bed if possible.
