Art in the Autumn

Art in the Autumn Art in the Autumn is an annual event featuring Alaskan artists and craftsman from across Alaska. A good place to start your holiday shopping.

Well, this is not the post I wanted to be posting, but sometimes the hard work and planning just go astray.

After long consideration, and looking at the coming months with all that entails, I have made the difficult decision to cancel Art in the Autumn for 2021. Several vendors have had to withdraw from the show and there have been concerns with the upcoming fall/winter as to the wisdom of holding an art fair.

Because of these factors, and a few more, I am canceling Art in the Autumn for 2021. This does not mean Art in the Autumn is gone for good, it is just postponed. I have talked with Pike's Waterfront Lodge and we will be planning for the return of Art in the Autumn in 2022. This show, the vendors and the people of Fairbanks mean to much to me to just walk away, so 2022 is the target for being back and being up and running.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I assure you that I am going to miss being in Fairbanks and hosting this show even more than you do attending it.

I look forward to seeing you all in 2022.

Well, this has been, something...

I was not sure after last year if this was going to happen, if it was gone for good, or if we were going to be able to pull it all together and get things going.

I can now let you all know the Art in the Autumn: 2021, is back!

October 1st, at Pike's waterfront Lodge we will once again be turning the Binkley room into the art show that you have come to know and love.

Art in the Autumn is coming back to Fairbanks and we will be posting more information as it becomes available. I should have the first list of vendors who are going to be there up by next week and will let you all know that we will be doing for the show this year.

it feels great to be back!

Art in the Autumn is canceled for 2020.

I am sorry that this is coming out so late, and I have tried to contact vendors about this but seemed to have missed several. I tried to make this work, but at this time I must admit that there is not a way for the show to happen and for vendors to be safe.

I will be planning on the show returning for 2021, and if you are a past vendor your grand parenting rights are good.

Again, I am very sorry I was not able to make this work out for 2020, and for those vendors who I failed to contact I am again sorry for not letting you know earlier.

please contact me if you have any questions, issues or concerns about the show for this year or next year.

Scott for Art in the Autumn.

"A Woman's Affair" at the Tanana Valley State Fair Grounds!

Just a reminder that "A Woman's Affair" is going to held at the Tanana Valley State Fair grounds, so there will be plenty of parking! I have had a chance to talk to a few folks and I think that this show is going to be the show of the summer. Great food! Great crafts! and the ART! If you have been cooped up in your tiny home, and it feels like it has been since the dawn of time, then this is a chance for you to get out and still be safe and responsible. Space between booths and large open areas means you can come on down and be out and about with out being crammed into a small room or space with a bunch of strangers.

Don't forget to wear your mask and wash your hands while you are shopping for that special piece of art that will make your refuge just that much more homey and relaxing.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Greetings folks!

We just got back home from the third annual Art in the Autumn art show. It was amazing!

I want to thank all the artists and vendors who came out to support he show. With out you the show would not go on.

I want to thank the people of Fairbanks who came out and supported the show. You support and love for the artists who make this show possible is always so inspiring. Knowing that Fairbanks is so supportive of the art community makes this show very special to me.

I want to thank our new vendor coordinator, Meagan, and our new venue coordinator, Misty. With out your organization, support and willingness to beat me with a stick as needed so I got stuff done for the show was awe inspiring. The bruises will heal I have been told.

Lastly, If you have any questions about a piece you saw or wanted, please contact the artists directly. These are wonderful, productive and creative people who do this for a living year round. Do not hesitate to contact them for their work.

I will post more during the coming week, but for now, thank you from Art in the Autumn, and good night!
