I had the pleasure of spending a few days in Punta Cana from May 18-22, and it was an unforgettable trip. The direct flight from Cleveland to Punta Cana took about 3.5 hours, which was super convenient.

We stayed at the Riu Republica, an adults-only, all-inclusive resort that truly exceeded expectations. The property itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a stunning beach. The resort features multiple restaurants, so you can enjoy a variety of cuisines. The highlight for me was the jerk chicken served right by the beach – absolutely amazing!

The resort offers plenty to do, especially when it comes to entertainment. Every night, there’s some form of entertainment, including themed parties and shows. We attended the Jungle Party which was held at another property that the resort bused us too and the Neon Party which was at our resort our last night there.

Both were a ton of fun!

One of the highlights of our trip was the Saona Island excursion, which I highly recommend. The island was stunning, with crystal-clear waters and pristine beaches. The excursion was well-organized, and it felt like we were transported to paradise for the day.

The staff at the Riu Republica were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everyone seemed to genuinely care about making our stay enjoyable, which really added to the overall experience.

Punta Cana was a perfect getaway, and staying at the Riu Republica made it even better. From the beautiful beach to the fun parties and amazing excursions, I felt like I got the best of both relaxation and adventure. If you're looking for an all-inclusive, adults-only resort with tons of entertainment and activities, I’d definitely recommend Riu Republica. -Stephanie

Come with me while we Unpack “A Trip Worth Packing For”

Family Adventure in New York City

Visiting New York City with kids turned out to be one of the most fun and memorable family trips we’ve ever taken! Staying right near Grand Central Station made everything so convenient. The energy of the station itself was thrilling, and of course, we had to stop at the legendary Grand Central Oyster Bar. I couldn’t resist trying an oyster shooter while the kids marveled at the vaulted ceilings and whispering gallery.

For classic New York food experiences, we made two must-stop visits: Patsy’s Pizza, where the thin crust, coal-fired slices lived up to every bit of the hype, and Serendipity 3, where dessert was truly an experience. The famous frozen hot chocolate was a family favorite and big enough to share—though no one really wanted to!

The kids’ highlight was definitely the immersive attractions. The Color Factory was a rainbow explosion of interactive rooms, art installations, and playful exhibits that let the kids run, laugh, and explore. And The Ice Cream Factory, where sweet treats and colorful fun continued. Both spots were not only kid-friendly but also filled with photo-worthy moments for the whole family.

As a special surprise, we sought out the Ghostbusters Firehouse—the actual firehouse used in the movie! The kids loved comparing it to the scenes they’d seen on screen, and it added a fun movie-magic moment to our trip.

New York City with kids can feel overwhelming, but mixing iconic eats, playful museums, and a few “bucket list” sights made it feel manageable and unforgettable. It’s a trip we’ll be talking about for years.

If you’re craving a trip that feels like a real reset, this is the kind of place I’d put at the top of your list.

My clients usually come to me after scrolling past the same overdone resorts, and they want something that feels special without being complicated. That’s exactly where the right property matters, the view, the service, the details at dinner, all of it.

I’m picky for a reason. I want my clients in places that make the whole trip feel worth it from the second they arrive.

If you’re ready to book something beautiful, call me now before the best rooms are gone.

Want a vacation where the hardest decision is pool deck or cocktail bar?

That’s exactly why I love booking cruises for my clients.

You unpack once, wake up somewhere new, and visit multiple countries without touching a rental car or mapping out a single transfer.

My clients love this because it takes the usual trip stress, airport logistics, restaurant reservations, transportation, and turns it into one simple plan.

If you want an easy way to see more in less time, cruise is the move.

Send me a message and I’ll help you choose the right itinerary before the best cabins disappear.

A good book by the water is nice.

A better plan is a resort that gives you the perfect chair, the right shade, and a drink refill before you even have to ask.

My clients love asking for a “relaxing trip,” but the real win is knowing which hotels actually make that happen, quiet pool, oceanfront loungers, and zero chaos around you.

If reading by the water is your kind of reset, I know exactly where to send you.

Come unpack a "Trip Worth Packing For"

Nantucket Dreams Come True

Ever since I started reading Nancy Thayer’s books, I’ve dreamed about Nantucket — the winding lanes, weathered shingles, and salty air all felt like a storybook I wanted to step into. This summer, that dream finally came true.

We started our journey in Hyannis Port, soaking in the charm of the harbor and grabbing a bite at The Black Cat Tavern. Sitting outside with a lobster roll and watching the boats come in was the perfect way to kick off our trip. I could already feel that laid-back Cape Cod energy settle in.

Then came the ferry ride to Nantucket — and the moment we arrived, it felt like walking into the pages of one of Thayer’s novels. Cobblestone streets, white hydrangeas in bloom, bikes lined up by the docks — it was everything I imagined and more.

Our first stop was lunch at the White Elephant, and it was nothing short of elegant. We dined on the patio overlooking the harbor, sipping rosé and soaking in the breeze.

After lunch, we headed to Sandbar at Jetties Beach for a casual beachside drink. The sand between our toes, the sound of laughter, the sea breeze — it was the kind of summer moment that makes you stop and say, “this is the life.”

A quick stop at Bartlett’s Farm gave us the perfect excuse to wander through rows of sunflowers, pick up fresh berries, and just breathe in the island’s natural beauty. From there, we made our way to Cisco Brewers, where the vibe was lively and local — live music, great drinks, and the kind of crowd that felt like one big party.

And we ended the day at Cru, with a plate of oysters, the golden light of sunset dancing off the water, and a glass of champagne in hand. It was sophisticated, stylish, and so Nantucket.

This trip was more than just a getaway — it was a personal chapter in a story I’ve been reading for years. Nantucket lived up to every word, every scene, every dreamy detail I had imagined. And yes, I’m already planning my next visit.

Coffee in Paris, on a balcony in Lisbon, or with a sea view in Santorini? ☕️

Next month is closer than you think, and the best trips are the ones booked before everyone else starts scrambling.

I’ve seen too many people wait, then end up with the leftover hotels, awkward flight times, and zero charm. The fix is simple, book the right place now, while the good options are still open.

If you want me to take a look at your next getaway, send me a message and I’ll point you to the best fit fast.

Come with me while we Unpack “A Trip Worth Packing For”

Southern California .... no kids this time! LOL!

Our journey through Southern California was the perfect blend of history, beaches, food, and a touch of Hollywood glamour. We started in San Diego, checking out the iconic Hotel del Coronado. The “Hotel Del,” with its red turreted roof and beachfront setting, felt like stepping into a timeless classic. We soaked in the elegant atmosphere that’s made it famous for more than a century.

From there, we explored Old Town San Diego, a lively mix of history and culture. Wandering through adobe buildings, colorful shops, and authentic Mexican restaurants gave us a taste of California’s past while still feeling vibrant and alive today.

Driving up the coast, we stopped in Laguna Beach, where the views of the Pacific were simply breathtaking. The charming town atmosphere paired perfectly with an unforgettable dinner of fresh seafood, where every bite tasted like the ocean itself. Sitting seaside as the sun set made it one of those meals we’ll always remember.

Finally, we made our way to Los Angeles, where the energy shifts to pure glitz and glamour. We had lunch on Rodeo Drive, surrounded by designer storefronts and people-watching that felt straight out of a movie. To top it off, we enjoyed evening drinks at The Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel—a legendary Hollywood haunt that still exudes sophistication and star power.

From the beaches of San Diego to the luxury of Beverly Hills, Southern California delivered a trip full of variety, flavor, and unforgettable experiences. It’s the kind of getaway that offers something magical for everyone.

Puerto Plata: Adventure, Culture, and Family Memories

Our trip to Puerto Plata was filled with moments we’ll never forget—some thrilling, some cultural, and all of them tied together by the warmth of the people.

The highlight (and the scariest part!) was the Damajagua Waterfalls tour. Standing at the top of the cascades, we were honestly terrified—but with the help of our incredible guide Luis, we pushed through. He was especially wonderful with our 10-year-old, guiding him carefully and giving him the confidence to jump and slide through the falls. Together, we faced our fears and came through it as a family. It’s an experience we’ll always remember as one of the most meaningful and memorable adventures we’ve ever had.

Back in town, we loved wandering through the colorful streets—Pink Street and Umbrella Street—which were as vibrant and fun as the pictures promised. They were perfect for strolling, snapping photos, and soaking up the local atmosphere.

Food was another highlight. We sat down with locals to enjoy mofongo, a Dominican favorite, and it was packed with flavor. But the moment that really made us laugh was when our long-time friend and incredible guide Nicholas (who we’ve used for multiple trips) took the kids to McDonald’s. It was the perfect mix of local authenticity and familiar comfort, and Nicholas once again made our trip feel effortless and personal.

Puerto Plata gave us adventure, culture, and connection—and it’s the kind of place where guides become friends and moments become lifelong stories. We left with full hearts, great memories, and the strong sense that we’ll be back again.
