🏡 A Glimpse Into Farmville’s Past

Along the streets of Farmville, history isn’t tucked away in a museum—it’s part of the neighborhoods we pass every day.

Built in 1902, the Bert Smith Historic Site is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship and character that have defined Farmville for generations. From its sweeping wraparound porch and detailed gables to the original-style double doors and timeless Southern architecture, this home has watched more than 120 years of Farmville history unfold around it.

Homes like this are more than beautiful buildings. They’re reminders of the people, families, and stories that came before us—and an important part of the character that makes Farmville feel like home.

Next time you’re traveling through town, slow down and take a look around. You might be surprised by just how much history is hiding in plain sight. ❤️

Farmville Hardware just got some statewide love! 🧡

Our State magazine featured our very own Farmville Hardware in "Planted in Time," a roundup of North Carolina's great old-school seed and hardware stores. The store has anchored West Wilson Street for 79 years, red-and-white checkered storefront and all, run by Josh Cannon and his dad, Greg.

It's the kind of hometown store that makes downtown Farmville feel like Farmville. We’re proud to see it recognized alongside some of NC's best.
