The weather man said not today Captain! lol So I traded my usual breakfast of Vienna’s and crackers for Eggs and BACKSTRAP! Sometimes the small victories taste the best! The Salty Crew has a busy weekend ahead of us, with commercial and chartered adventures, along with squeezing in a performance with my other passion, Dixie Highway, performing at Adamec Harley-Davidson Saturday afternoon. Good morning Salty Crew! The winter weather is behind us, and the water is warming up fast! I’m going to run 2 discounted exploratory flounder gigging trips out of St Augustine Friday and Saturday night this week. The forecast looks really good. I made a commercial trip last week and found some nice fish in the St John’s, and I expect our southern spots to be loaded up already. Book your Salty Adventure today!

Proud dad moment today! About an hour into a killer whitting grind, my boy informed me he had caught his share of the light bill for the month! lol. He gets it… 2 hours later, he was not so full of energy. He fell asleep sitting on a bucket on the way in. 50* and blowing 20knots, he hung tough till we were out of bait!

We did it again! This was most likely the last sheepshead trip for the season. Thanks to all the customers and mates that came along for the ride. Can’t wait for next year! The flounder are starting to show up here in NE Florida, so it’s time to shift gears and look forward to warmer weather. Book your next Salty Adventure today!

It looks like old man winter is going to give us another week of sheepshead gigging action! We made a commercial trip Tuesday night and there are still PLENTY of big fish to choose from.
