🎶 See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me 🎶

I know I literally debarked Celebrity Edge this morning but I also made my final payment this week for my first ever cruise on VIRGIN VOYAGES! I will be sailing Brilliant Lady in mid-September for an 8-night Vancouver to Los Angeles repositioning cruise with stops down the California coast. 🧜🏻‍♀️ Virgin Voyages is, of course, an adults only cruise line and I will be sailing in one of the *six* Solo Seaview (window) cabins. I don’t have any other trips in the meantime but I’ll continue to share content from Celebrity Edge and other previous sailings here!

Final meal onboard Celebrity Edge 😭

I had breakfast at the Cosmopolitan Restaurant this morning, and dined on Apple Pancakes, a Classic French Omelet, and bacon and sausage.

The food onboard has ranged from good to excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending Celebrity to my clients looking for a slightly more upscale, relaxed experience while still having plenty of fun!

Last night I saw the final Celebrity Showtime of the cruise: A Hot Summer Night’s Dream, based on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, and it was great. This was a very dance and aerialist/acrobat driven show. Highly recommend checking it out if the ship you are on offers it!

For my final dinner on Celebrity Edge, I dined at Le Petite Chef at Le Grand Bistro - this dining experience can be found on most, if not all, of Celebrity’s ships. There are five different experiences across the fleet. You can mix and match between Le Menu Extraordinaire and The Other Menu but the “show” only matches Le Menu Extraordinare. This was a cute, solid dining option to round out my trip!

Do not sleep on Rooftop Garden Grill! This specialty dining spot can be found on Deck 15 on Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, and Ascent. I ate here yesterday for lunch and today for dinner and both times it’s been nearly empty, but the food and service has been impeccable. They offer blankets and have heated overhead lights because it is a bit windy up here.

*Vegetable Crudité
*Peach Cobbler
*Caprese Salad
*Pork Sliders
*Half Rack of Ribs with Jalapeño Cornbread
*Creamy Corn
*Apple Cherry Pie

Each Celebrity Edge class ship has an indoor Solarium with a pool and hot tub. While this area is typically reserved for ages 16+, they do offer a family time (at least on cooler sailings). In the Solarium you’ll also find the Spa Cafe & Juice Bar (not pictured), and just outside is the Mast Grill which is open from 11:30am-6pm daily to serve burgers and hot dogs.

This evening I participated in the Miracle Lyrical game show (joined up with an elderly couple and we unfortunately didn’t win despite having decades of musical knowledge between us 🤣), caught about 2/3 of the Production Show “Bring the Funk”, and sang/danced along at the ABBA Sing-Along Party that segued into Disco Never Dies. People of all generations really love ABBA!

EDEN is a beautiful space at the aft of the ship encompassing decks 4-6. On the ground floor is a specialty restaurant that is open for dinner, the middle floor has a bar and complimentary cafe open for breakfast & lunch, and there is a wrap-around ramp with seating to get up to the third level where you’ll find even more seating, puzzles, and a small take-a-book/leave-a-book library. I had an absolutely excellent dinner here the other night, and they also have a fabulous full seven course vegan tasting menu!

This venue is located on Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, and Ascent. On the new Celebrity Xcel, it has been themed as “The Bazaar”.
