With 9 kids, one-on-one time is rare and incredibly special. Getting away with our 14-year-old son for a few days at Walt Disney World gave us the chance to slow down, laugh together, ride favorites, and make memories we’ll treasure forever. These moments feel like tiny time capsules before the teenage years race by. 💙

We spent time exploring EPCOT during the Flower & Garden Festival surrounded by gorgeous topiaries, fresh blooms, and amazing food, then headed to Animal Kingdom for adventures, incredible shows, and all the wild beauty that park brings. 🌺🌿🦒

The dishes can wait. The laundry will still be there. But these moments with our kids? They’re pure magic. ✨

Is the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel actually worth the hype? 👀✨

After staying here, I finally understand why Disney fans keep booking this resort again and again. You’re right in the EPCOT resort area, within walking distance to BOTH EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, with Friendship Boats, incredible restaurants, deluxe resort perks, and easy access to Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment. 🌴🎡🍹

The Dolphin is technically a Marriott hotel on Disney property, so guests love that they can often pay less than nearby deluxe Disney resorts while still getting perks like Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours. Plus… the location is basically Disney vacation cheat code level. 🚤✨

And yes… ending the night with Beaches & Cream nearby felt like the perfect Disney vacation ending. 🍨

Planning Disney World this fall?
Before you choose your Magic Kingdom day… you need to know this 🎃

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party happens select nights August through October, and on party nights Magic Kingdom closes EARLY to regular guests.

That means:
❌ Less park time
❌ Earlier fireworks
❌ Early park closure at 6 PM

But here’s the twist 👀

Party days can actually be some of the BEST days to visit Magic Kingdom because crowds are often lower during the day.

✔ Shorter waits
✔ Easier Lightning Lanes
✔ More done in less time

✨ My favorite strategy:
Use a party day for Magic Kingdom, then hop to another park, Disney Springs, or your resort that night.
