Perhaps an even greater joy than being named “Best Festival” by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine’ readers in multiple ‘Best of the Blue Ridge’ Competitions 🏆🎶, was that FloydFest was also named “Best Kid-Friendly Outdoor Destination” and “Best Family Friendly Festival” 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨. So much love and labor goes into creating the FloydFest experience. This week, we’re shining a light on one of the incredible people who helps make the Daydream happen. 🌿

✨ Favorite FloydFest memory:
“There are so many great memories but my favorite memories of past festivals are my daughter Anias helping setup the green rooms for Old Crow Medicine show and when Anias and her friend fan girled out to Rising Appalachia while standing side stage or seeing my sister Katelynn rocking out to Theivery Corporation. But the thing that means the most is all of my friends coming together, like a grown up summer camp, to make awesome things happen every year.”

🙌 We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to our FloydFest Work Weekend Volunteers. 💛

Every Work Weekend brings something special, and this one truly delivered. ✨ The amount of care, craftsmanship, energy, laughter and plain hard work this crew poured into beautifying our shared mountain daydream 🏕️🌄 was genuinely inspiring. These fine folks put in long hours for the benefit of the entire . From start to finish, the dedication, positivity and attention to detail on display all weekend was remarkable to witness.

Bit by bit, the site is coming alive for FloydFest 26~Daydream (July 22-26, 2026) 🎶
