I'm humbled and over the moon at being interviewed by the AMAZING Angela Caraway-Carlton for Southern Living To say this is a career high is an understatement!

I've been the "photo lady" for so long because I truly love and believe in the value of people's stories! I never dreamed I would get to one day share my organizing passion with such an esteemed (and personal favorite) publication! I also got to share two of my long-standing resources: Archival Methods and Speedway Custom Photo Lab who everyone should know about!

I didn’t come to organize the kitchen but it got rolled in! Not only did they get a reorganized closet with room to spare, but several kitchen cabinets organized as well! 🙌🏻💕

This family is so fun and so active and they were just trying to keep things “put away”. Over time though it just piled up and got harder and harder to function. A Professional Organizer does not just tidy. We assess the root cause of the disorganization, we can see the habit patterns and personalities of the client that contribute to it and then design changes across the whole home that work for the client. Often times that space we can’t seem to get organized is taking on the disorganization of another space. It’s a thread on a sweater sometimes and I love to pull it! 😂🙌🏻🎉

I’ve always loved this quote of hers. 💕 It reminds me that just because things have been a certain way doesn’t mean they have to stay that way. When I left the film industry to go into Professional Organizing I was terrified, but I knew I did not like the road I was walking. It’s okay to make a change - you might surprise yourself! I think we will all miss this wonderful woman who encouraged others so well.

My weekend organizing project. 😍 My gift wrap supplies were split into two spaces and it was good enough for a long time. But then I saw this IKEA cart in their kitchen section and immediately knew how I would use it. What sealed the deal were these great hooks and cubbies from another IKEA system that also work perfectly with this cart. It’s full but what a win - I can find specific items so much faster and it’s now in one place. This cart also comes with wheels so it can roll with me wherever I am working in the house. 💕🎉

What a joyful life we can have when we remember this! Things are fun and helpful but too many, or if made too important, and they will rob us of our peace, joy and time.

Happy Father’s Day! So thankful for my Dad, Father-in-law and especially this guy right here. He brings strength, wisdom and so much joy to our home. Thank you for being a great Dad and Stepdad to our four kids and leading with kindness and love even on the hard days. You are a blessing!
