Great Stirrup Cay is giving:
🎶 island party vibes
🍹 included fun without constant upcharges
🌴 relaxing beach day mixed with energy & entertainment
And honestly? NCL might’ve created one of my FAVORITE private island experiences yet 🫣
✔️ What’s Included:
One thing I appreciated immediately… a lot of the fun areas and entertainment were INCLUDED.
My favorite area?
🎧 Great Life Lagoon
This spot had:
• Live DJ entertainment
• Games & activities
• Energetic atmosphere
• Poolside party vibes
• NO extra charge
And the vibes were definitely there 😂
👨👩👧 Family Friendly?
ABSOLUTELY.
💦 Splash Harbor was PERFECT for kids.
Interactive water fun, safe family energy, and a great option for families wanting both relaxation AND activities.
🌊 The Beach/Vibes:
The beach area was BEAUTIFUL.
Clear water, relaxing scenery, plenty of space to spread out, and an easy “sit back and exhale” type of atmosphere.
It gave:
☀️ easy vacation mode
🍹 frozen drink energy
🏖️ tropical relaxation without feeling overcrowded
🍴 The Food:
Now let’s talk food because NCL came outside to COOK 😂🔥
And yes…they REALLY had the grills out.
Food options included:
• Beach BBQ
• Hot dog carts
• Taco stands
• Grilled favorites
• Quick grab-and-go options throughout the island
The food was plentiful, easy to access, and honestly pretty tasty for a private island setup.
⚠️ You know I don’t lie to the people:
Great Stirrup Cay is currently a tender port, and while the tender ride itself wasn’t bad…once the tender connected back to the ship and people started getting off, the rocking motion became VERY noticeable.
People who were prone to motion sickness were visibly getting sick during the debarkation process.
My advice?
💊 Take motion sickness precautions at least an hour before heading back to the ship if you know you’re sensitive to movement and carry a portable fan.
The GOOD news?
🚧 The pier is currently being built, which will eliminate this process.

🌊 Great Tides Waterpark is on the way 👀🔥

🍴 Food Options: 8.5/10

🏝️ Overall Experience: A FUN, well-balanced private island experience with great vibes, good food, family-friendly spaces, and relaxing beaches.
