St. Maarten is one of those places we never get tired of. 🌴☀️

Maybe it’s because there’s something for everyone.

Want to kick back on a beautiful beach? We’ve got you.

Want to snorkel in clear Caribbean water? Absolutely.

Want to turn the day into an adventure? That’s where the speedboat comes in. 😎

On our last Postcard Jar Friends Cruise, we spent the day exploring St. Maarten by speedboat, stopping to snorkel and enjoy the water—and it ended up being one of those days that everyone was still talking about afterward.

And then there’s Maho Beach, where you can sit on the sand and watch airplanes fly very close overhead. ✈️🌊 If you’ve never experienced it, it’s one of those uniquely St. Maarten things that’s hard to forget.

Consider this your January decision-making exercise. 😂

Option A: Wake up, put on your Carhartt bib overalls, fire up the snow blower, clear the driveway, shovel the sidewalk, scrape the car…

Option B: Wake up, put on your swimsuit, grab a coffee and head to the beach. ☀️🌴

We’re going with Option B. Every. Single. Time.

Next January, we’re spending two weeks cruising around the Southern Caribbean instead—with a cold drink in his hand and absolutely no snow blower in sight. 😂

And this time, we’ll be there with our Postcard Jar Friends during the second week of our Postcard Jar Friends Cruise to the Southern Caribbean, January 16–23, 2027.

St. Kitts is one of those islands that keeps pulling us back. We love the beautiful scenery, the warm Caribbean water, the lush green mountains and the chance to "rush slowly" and enjoy island life.

But there’s another reason we’re especially excited about this stop: we have friends in St. Kitts! So returning is even more special—and we can’t wait to share the island with the friends who are traveling with us.

We love a beautiful ship and a Caribbean beach as much as anyone. But honestly? It’s the people who make these trips memorable.

Vancouver was our starting point for our Alaskan cruise, and even though we only had one day in the city, we were determined to make the most of it!

We hopped on a hop-on, hop-off trolley and got a great introduction to Vancouver without trying to cram too much into our short stay. We spent some time wandering through beautiful Stanley Park, then headed over to Granville Island to explore the market, shops and waterfront.

It was the perfect way to spend our first day — a little sightseeing, a little exploring, and just enough time to get a taste of Vancouver before it was time to board the ship and head north to Alaska. 🚢🇨🇦
