If you're ever looking for a brewery full of less traditional beer styles, make sure you head out to Oozlefinch Beers & Blending in Fort Monroe, VA. The town, being a recently decommissioned military base, makes for an interesting backdrop to a very unique brewery. During our visit we got to enjoy not only very tasty beers, but some frozen alcoholic beverages as well. Friendly staff and a fun environment make a return visit to this brewery a mandatory obligation.

Overlooking the waters of the marina, Billsburg Brewery in Williamsburg, VA is the ideal place to stop and drink a delicious beer as you visit all the local historical sites. Just around the corner from the Jamestown Settlement and close to many other early American attractions, you can easily make a worthwhile visit to the area. A very helpful staff, with fantastic views of the water sitting inside and out makes this brewery a must for those in the area.

We stopped into MoMac Brewing Company in Portsmouth, VA on the way to a Fourth of July celebration in Norfolk. A comforting environment, friendly bartender, and tasty brews helped us escape the oppressive heat. Definitely worth a visit if you're on the eastern side of Virginia.
