People don’t book cruises wrong — they just book them with “incomplete” information.

Online booking gives you access.
But it doesn’t give you context.

It won’t tell you which cabins are noisy,
which prices are better, or in which cruise line you'll find the better value.

it won't tell you which perks you’ll be missing out on once you click “confirm.” - .....onboard credits anyone?

It is crucial you have all the details to get the most out of your travel.

On our most recent trip to Costa Rica, we traveled to celebrate my niece’s wedding, which was incredibly special and full of beautiful memories. But some of the moments that stayed with me (us) were the ones we never planned for...

Finding a hidden trail with a mysterious little gate that made us wonder what might be beyond it- to then find the most beautiful views from the top of that trail.

Climbing past huge rocks looking for a secluded beach where we discovered the most incredible lava rock formations and washed up coral.

Watching beautiful birds on quiet stretches of a black sand beach where no one else was around.

Even having coffee while listening to music... followed by the most scrumptious breakfast poolside.

Those moments didn't seem particularly special at the time, but they ended up being the most fulfilling and unforgettable.

Sometimes the point of travel isn’t about filling your schedule and doing it all — sometimes it’s about allowing yourself to slow down enough to truly feel the experience and just... be present.

I was telling one of my co-workers about our venture into travel and she mentioned that her boyfriend had recently booked their cruise directly with the cruise line, so we decided to take a quick look at the pricing to see how our offers compared.

When we looked at what they paid to what we could have booked for them, we realized she could have saved hundreds of dollars — for the exact same cruise! (plus selection of cabin location and onboard credits)

If you’re booking online or directly with the cruise line, you may be leaving money on the table. And not just money — sometimes it’s the ability to choose a better cabin location or receive onboard credits you didn’t even know were available.

Life moves fast, especially if we allow disctractions to rule day…this means that we weren’t there for most of it. Be intentional with your time, hold yourself accountable for your happiness - that part is on you. Practice patience with your life, your growth and the pace of it all.
