Disney did something very interesting today… they extended their Bounceback Offer booking window into 2027.
If you’re not familiar, the Bounceback Offer is a special discount available to guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel. After you check out, you have 7 days to book a future Disney vacation and lock in savings of up to 35% off your next resort stay.
Now, for most people, the discount itself isn’t the interesting part.
The interesting part is what the blackout dates tell us about where Disney expects demand.
🧐 Disney is basically showing us when they think people will already be coming.
A few things jumped out at me:
➡️ January remains one of the best values of the year outside of Marathon Weekend and MLK Weekend.
➡️ February is no longer the “secret” month it used to be. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights are largely blocked out throughout the month. Between Presidents Day, Mardi Gras breaks, ski weeks, Festival of the Arts, and absolutely gorgeous Florida weather, February has become a much busier travel month than it was even a few years ago.
➡️ March through August is surprisingly open. Aside from a few holiday weekends and runDisney events, most of spring break, summer vacation, and early fall remain eligible. That’s a pretty strong signal that Disney isn’t seeing the same spring break demand it once did.
➡️ October continues to prove my theory: Fall Break is the new Spring Break.
Disney has very limited Bounceback availability in October, which tells me demand is incredibly strong. Between Halloween parties, Food & Wine Festival, cooler temperatures, and more school districts offering fall breaks, October has quietly become one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World.
As a Disney planning nerd, I love looking at promotions because they often tell us more about travel patterns than crowd calendars do.
What do you think? Have you noticed Disney feeling busier in February and October than it used to?
