When a client reached out about her September Disney World vacation with her 10 year old daughter, one of the biggest decisions was choosing the right resort.

We looked at several options, but the more we talked about what they wanted from their trip, the more Coronado Springs stood out.

They wanted a resort that felt a little more relaxing and upscale while still staying within their budget. Since they weren’t traveling with a stroller or little ones, transportation wasn’t at the top of their priority list. That opened the door to a resort that offers beautiful grounds, great dining options, and an incredible pool to enjoy on their non park days.

This is exactly why I don’t recommend the same resort to every family. The best choice depends on your budget, your priorities, and how you want your vacation to feel.

With Disney announcing the 2026 dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, I’ve already seen one question come up over and over...

Is it worth it with a toddler?

My answer? It depends on your child.

If your toddler can stay up later, loves parades, character meet and greets, and enjoys soaking in the holiday atmosphere, it can be one of the most magical nights of your trip.

But if bedtime is nonnegotiable and your little one is happiest with slower mornings and shorter park days, you may actually have a better vacation by skipping the party and enjoying everything else Disney offers during the holidays.

One of the biggest differences when you work with me is that I don’t believe in one size fits all vacations.

I don’t recommend every extra just because it’s popular.

I help families decide what makes the most sense for their kids, their budget, and their vacation goals.

Sometimes that means adding the Christmas party.

Sometimes it means skipping it.

The best Disney vacation isn’t the one that does everything.

It’s the one that’s planned specifically for your family.
