At this point I’m not sure why people still ask ...
Yep. I went to Disney again.
Yep. It’s called continuing education.
Yep. All in the name of research.
Yep. I’m probably returning again real soon.

Summerhouse on the Lake is my favorite restaurant at Disney Springs so you best believe we hit it up as soon as we landed!

My Waitlist mocktail, potato salad deviled eggs and chicken tacos - 10/10. But the real winner … the gluten free dairy free chocolate chip cookie! Warm and pure perfection!!

I know my focus around here is usually theme parks and cruises, but sometimes Mytty Maps the Magic in Northern Michigan, too!

And this one is worth sharing…

If you’re looking for that Up North experience along M-22, Travelers Motel is the answer!

🔨 Fully remodeled 2 years ago with the cutest retro vibe — I think they nailed it.

🥺 The rooms are perfect — well decorated, practical, functional and comfortable!

🤑 Don’t let the word “motel” or the price point scare you — adorable & affordable should seriously be their motto!

🌊 Lake Michigan beaches are just minutes away, and a cruise up M-22 to Sleeping Bear Dunes is a must.

☕️ Morning coffee at Lake & Latte is the icing on the cake.

We loved having Travelers Motel as our little home base for a few days. Cute, comfortable, affordable and perfectly located for an M-22 adventure.

I absolutely recommend! Mytty Maps the Magic isn’t just mapping castles and cruise ships 😆

Halloween season is officially here!

In just a few short weeks, I’ll be there to soak it all in and share it all with you firsthand.

But there is nothing quite like the headless horseman kicking off the nighttime parade … who else is ready for not-so- spooky season at Disney?

A Detroit icon that’s worth the stay. ✨

This past weekend we checked into the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit and it did not disappoint!

DID YOU KNOW …
• The Book Cadillac opened in 1924 and was the tallest hotel in the world when it debuted with 33 stories soaring above Washington Boulevard.
• It was designed by renowned architect Louis Kamper in the beautiful Italian Renaissance style.
• After sitting vacant for more than 20 years, the building underwent a nearly $200 million restoration and reopened as the Westin in 2008, bringing one of Detroit’s greatest landmarks back to life.
• It now blends historic architecture with modern luxury while sitting in the heart of downtown—just 2 blocks from Campus Martius, and walkable to the Detroit Riverwalk, Comerica Park, Ford Field, Little Caesars Arena, and so much more.

Things I loved:
✅ Beautiful, updated guest rooms
✅ Starbucks connected to the lobby (a huge win!)
✅ Sullivan’s Steakhouse right inside the hotel
✅ Gorgeous historic architecture
✅ Incredible views toward the Detroit River from our room

What I Didn’t Love:
❌Public transit center is directly across the street, making the area feel less comfortable after dark. Stay with a crowd after dark.
❌Valet parking is convenient but comes witg a premium downtown price.
❌No complimentary breakfast (Starbucks and Haus of Brunch are available on-site). The ever-popular Dime Store is a very short walk.
❌Some rooms have limited views—request a higher floor for the best skyline or river views.
❌The hotel’s interior is more modern than historic, so don’t expect the ornate feel to continue throughout the building.

Detroit has such an amazing story and staying in a building that’s been part of it for over 100 years makes the experience even better. I will 100% be back again!

Have you ever stayed at the Book Cadillac?

Yesterday I shared that I’ve received my “Bachelor of Adventure”—diving into everything Royal Caribbean so I can better serve my clients.

One thing I’ve learned? A cruise includes so much more than most people realize.

From incredible dining and Broadway-style entertainment to kids clubs, activities, pools, and your stateroom, there’s a lot that’s already part of your vacation.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll keep sharing bite-sized tips, little surprises, and things I wish every cruiser knew before they booked.

And when you’re ready to turn “someday” into a vacation, I’d love to help you find the right ship, itinerary, and budget. My planning services don’t cost you anything extra—you just get someone in your corner from start to finish.

If a cruise is in your future, my client inquiry form is linked in my bio. I’d love to help you plan your next adventure.

I have a little secret … did you know I can book Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, too?

This summer, I’m working my way through Royal Caribbean University and officially earned my Bachelor of Adventure certification. And let me tell you what - there is SO much to learn! From ships and staterooms to dining, entertainment, private destinations, and all the little details that make a cruise vacation amazing. I’m really trying to soak it all in.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite tips, surprising facts, and things you probably never knew you could experience while sailing.

So if a cruise is on your travel wish list, stay tuned. And if it isn’t - it just might be after you see what I have to share!

Did you know Disney has a beach resort… and it’s not in Florida?

Tucked away on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort is one of Disney’s best-kept secrets. It has all the little touches Disney does so well—but instead of rope drops and fireworks, think rocking chairs, bike rides, marsh views, beach days, and evenings around the campfire. It’s designed to feel like a cozy Lowcountry fishing lodge while still delivering that unmistakable Disney service.

One of my favorite parts? It feels like you can truly slow down while still getting those magical Disney moments. Character sightings, Dole Whips, Mickey pretzels, pools, beignets (that’s right!), and plenty of family activities are all part of the experience.

Have you ever stayed here, or is this your first time hearing that Disney has a resort on Hilton Head?

Disney World or Universal Orlando…

I get this question all the time:

“Which one should we choose?”

The answer? It depends!

While they’re both in Orlando, they are two completely different vacation experiences. Disney is all about immersive storytelling, beloved characters, incredible entertainment, and magic around every corner. Universal is packed with blockbuster thrills, Harry Potter, Epic Universe, and attractions that will have your adrenaline pumping.

That’s why I put together this quick comparison guide! Whether you’re traveling with toddlers, teens, adults, or a mix of everyone, this is a great starting point.

✨ And here’s a little secret…

You don’t always have to choose.

Because the two resorts are only about 20–30 minutes apart, a split stay is often the perfect way to experience both. Spend a few days soaking in the magic, then switch gears for some epic thrills—or vice versa!

Not sure which vacation fits your family best? Let’s chat. I’ll help you find the option (or combination!) that’s right for your travel style, budget, and priorities.

Which team are you? 👇

🎢 Universal
🤷 Both!
