Benzie Bus achieves a new all-time monthly ridership record by providing 11,803 passenger trips! 👏
This milestone signals a growing community demand for public transportation in Benzie County.
The increase in ridership was seen across all service areas, including local demand-response trips, the deviated flex route, and summer shuttles. According to Executive Director Jessica Carland, the growth was organic and not due to any major service expansions or marketing campaigns in July.
Looking ahead, Benzie Bus is planning several service enhancements to build on this momentum. Planned improvements for the fall include the potential expansion of Health Rides to five days a week, extended Saturday evening hours, and the addition of new Sunday service. The agency expects to announce more details on these service updates in the coming month.
