🌎We are getting closer to departure day! 🌏

As promised here is some hints on where I’ll be going:
🏔️- This park is full of mountains & glaciers!
🐻- Wild life includes; grizzly bears, mountain goats, moose, and much more!
🏕️- The state this park calls home is Montana!

I am so excited to get out in the backcountry for 2 weeks and hopefully score some epic wildlife shots.

I feel like I have hit the lottery with this one, I know Duolingo is super popular but have you heard of TEUIDA app??

If not and you’re trying to learn Japanese, Korean, or Spanish then you definitely should download it and give it a try! This app has you speaking the language from day one and has been far more helpful with my language learning journey than any other app.

If you’re learning a language please let me know what was helpful for you. I need all the resources I can get 😂🖤

Just one short year ago, Dave and I careened across America on only four hours’ notice.

Dayton, Ohio to San Diego, California.

Let me set the scene: it was a Monday, and thanks to some major technical issues, Delta (along with several other airlines) had been experiencing massive delays for days. Dave called me on his lunch break and said:

Dave: “How quickly can you get the car ready?”

Me: “Couple of hours. Why?”

Dave: “Because I don’t trust Delta to have its act together by Wednesday. We should just hit the road tonight.”

Me: “Okay. I’ll be ready when you get home.”

And that was that. In less than four hours, we went from flying to driving.
No plan.
No hotels booked.

Just us, the car, and the open road—with one goal in mind: Comic-Con 2024.

Do you think you could do it? Or would you have risked the flight departing on time?

I’m wide awake, reflecting on the most significant adventure I may have ever taken and I wanted to share a thought for the traveler who is afraid to push past their limits.

This story isn’t glamorous.
These photos are not a thirst trap. It’s not the perfect selfie with a mountain gorilla gazing lovingly into my lens. It’s me. Sweat soaked, gasping, and dragging my sorry self through the mud & mist of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, wondering what exactly I’d signed up for.

Gorilla trekking. Sounds poetic, right?
But no one tells you that “impenetrable” isn’t just a charming name. It’s a warning.

I bit off more than I could chew, and then some. Altitude, terrain, a trail that laughs in the face of cardio. The kind of suffering that makes you question your life choices. And yet… I had help. My porter, a quiet force of nature, who got me through it. He carried more than just my bag that day.

These photos? They’re not curated. They’re not cute. They’re real. And they’re proof that sometimes the price of admission to something truly wild and holy is discomfort, humility, and mud in places mud should never be.

I’d do it again in a heartbeat, even if it almost killed me. Never think for a moment something is too far to reach for.

🌿 Hey friends – it’s been a while. 🌿

I know I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately, and I wanted to take a moment to check in and share what’s been going on.

The truth is, life has been full—full of change, challenges, and personal growth. I’ve had to step back from social media for a while to take care of myself and focus on what matters most. Sometimes we all need to hit pause, and that’s exactly what I did.

One of the biggest changes, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from being a travel agent at this time. It wasn’t an easy choice, because helping others explore the world brought me so much joy. But this certainly doesn’t mean my love for travel has gone anywhere—it’s still a huge part of who I am.

Travel and photography have always been my passions, especially capturing those magical moments with wildlife and the beauty of nature. So while this is a new chapter, it’s not the end—just a shift in focus.

I’m excited to share that I’ve started a new blog where I’ll be posting travel stories, photography, and glimpses into the adventures that still fill my heart with wonder. If you love beautiful places, animals in their natural habitats, and the occasional behind-the-scenes travel tale, I’d love for you to stick around and enjoy.

Thank you for your support, your patience, and for being part of this journey with me. I’m looking forward to reconnecting and sharing again—this time, from a place of passion and peace.

✨ Here’s to new beginnings.
With love,
Callie

There are so many flavors to try in Japan with influences from other countries all across the globe to traditional meals only found in Japan.

Featuring in these photos:

🥖Philly Cheesesteak from a local legend who fell in love with Philly & brought that love to Tokyo with homemade bread and cheese whiz!
🍱Bento set boxes with lots of little flavors.
🥪Steak Sando
🧇7 Eleven breakfast haul
😻Cat day collab snacks
🍕 Wood fired pizza with a view
🍤 Mc Donald’s Japan exclusive shrimp sandwich

This is definitely an all you can eat vacation spot!

🤤Fantastic foods part one!🤤

You know I have to give it up for the street foods first, it’s honestly come to be my favorite food when traveling to new places. You really get a taste of what the locals eat and the smaller portions means you get to experience even more then you would during a sit down meal.

Some highlights from street food we tried include:
🍡Dango (I could eat these forever)
🐟Assorted sushi & other sea foods at the world famous Tsukiji Fish Market.
🧀 The 10yen cheese coin.
🍓 Seasonal strawberry tanghulu
As well as some other assorted snacks on sticks from different stalls leading up to a temple!

What’s your favorite street food to enjoy?
