🎷 Today we Celebrated Day 3 of The Spectacular Juneteenth Cultural Celebration 🌅

We had an inspiring Award Ceremony at the Martin Luther King Center, followed by a powerful community forum that sparked meaningful conversations and reflections.

Then the evening truly came alive as the soulful sounds of "More Love" Jazz Band filled the air at Barrett's Landing! From smooth rhythms to vibrant improvisation, they brought a musical journey full of heart, history, and harmony—playing nonstop until the sun dipped below the horizon.

"More Love" reminded us why jazz is more than music—it’s storytelling, resistance, and celebration all in one. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a soul-stirring experience of unity, freedom, and yes... more love.

🎤✨If you missed Day 2 of the Spectacular 3rd Annual Juneteenth Cultural Celebration at Barrett’s Landing, you missed a show to remember!✨🎤

The crowd was grooving as a Michael Jackson impersonator lit up the stage with legendary moves backed by vocals. Retro Groove's Tribute to the O'Jays had vibes that were alive and electric!

The park was packed with families, friends, and fans. Vendors served up delicious food, and the spirit of freedom and community was felt in every beat.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate culture, unity, and the legacy of Juneteenth in style with AmunRa. We sang, we danced, we celebrated—and we can’t wait to do it even bigger next year!

Honoring Juneteenth: A Day of Freedom and Remembrance

Today, we gathered in solemn reflection and collective pride to honor Juneteenth—a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States, and the long-overdue freedom of our ancestors in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865.

At this evening’s wreath-laying ceremony, we stood together not only to celebrate emancipation, but to remember the millions of enslaved men, women, and children whose strength, resilience, and dignity endured through unimaginable hardship. We laid wreaths in their memory, symbols of mourning, reverence, and enduring hope.

This wreath represents lives, families, and stories—too many of which were silenced or erased. Today, we speak their names in spirit. We honor their legacy. And we recommit ourselves to the work of justice, equality, and truth.

Let this Juneteenth not only be a day of reflection, but a call to action. Freedom was not given—it was fought for. And we must continue that fight in their name.
