🌴 Did you know you can visit the Caribbean without a passport?

Yesterday, I was having a conversation with a friend who asked me, “Are there any Caribbean islands you can visit without a passport?”

I thought this was a great question because I’m sure there are plenty of people wondering the same thing!

The answer is YES! If you’re a U.S. citizen, there are some beautiful destinations you can visit without a passport.

🌴 Puerto Rico – Beautiful beaches, great restaurants, history, and plenty to explore.

☀️ St. Thomas – Gorgeous beaches, snorkeling, shopping, and beautiful resorts.

🌊 St. John – Perfect for nature lovers, with stunning beaches and crystal-clear water.

🏝️ St. Croix – A more laid-back island experience with beautiful beaches and plenty of history.

And here’s something else you might not know! Certain round-trip cruises departing from and returning to the same U.S. port may also allow U.S. citizens to travel without a passport, using other approved documentation.

Of course, I always recommend having a passport, especially when traveling internationally.

So, if you’ve been putting off a Caribbean vacation because you don’t have a passport, you may have more options than you think!

We set an alarm for four in the morning to watch the fjords slide by in real time, long before anyone else on board was awake. It was worth every minute of lost sleep.
