What's that is the water?? Bull Kelp! Bull kelp can grow incredibly fast...up to 2 feet per day under ideal conditions! Its stalks (called stipes) can stretch as long as 30 meters (about 100 feet), making it one of the tallest marine plants in the world. It thrives in the cold, nutrient-rich waters of the PNW.
