The story of Tiki Retreat starts with two people who wanted completely different things.

He wanted a place to roll out of bed, grab his rods, and be on the water before the sun was fully up. She wanted a kitchen big enough to actually cook in, a comfortable bed, a pool for the kids, and a porch where you could sit and do absolutely nothing.

Most houses solve one of those problems. This one solved both.

Downstairs is his side: private boat ramp right at the door, tiki bar, fishing dock, fish-cleaning station outside. The wall in the hallway is covered in photos of real catches - not decor someone bought, but actual fish from actual days on Galveston Bay he did not want to forget.

Upstairs is her side: a bunk room for the kids, a master with a canal view, a kitchen that opens to the living room that opens to the back porch. Vaulted blue ceilings. Community pool with palm trees fifty feet away. Sunsets over the water every single evening.

He built this house himself, for exactly this reason.

Tiki Retreat is an excellent choice for guests who enjoy fishing in Galveston. The homeowner is a passionate fisherman, and many of the home's features were designed with fellow anglers in mind.

With easy access to the water, space for your gear, and a location in the heart of Sea Isle, it's a great home base for your next fishing adventure on the Texas coast.

True story from the life of a property manager 😄

A mourning dove decided one of our homes was the perfect spot to start a family — and built her nest right by the front door. The kicker? She built it on top of our metal fisherman statue, right above his catch. The man's been holding that fish for years and finally got a bird to admire it. 🐟🐦

The upside: doves are symbols of peace, and folklore says they only nest where they feel safe. Best review we've ever gotten, and she didn't even leave it on Airbnb.

The downside: she is not the tidiest tenant, and the entrance now requires what we'll politely call "enhanced housekeeping attention." 😅

We could've evicted her for a spotless entryway. Instead, we're letting her stay. The babies fledge in a couple of weeks, and until then we're sweeping more often and giving guests a friendly heads-up.

Because the boutique approach means we look after everyone under our roof — even the ones flying in rent-free. 🐦❤️
