We are SO excited to have Zambia at the Ditsala International Cup May 29-June 1. Hoping to rebuild their national teams, Zambia volleyball association is building their program with their first step being to compete in Botswana with us. We can’t wait!!

New Volleyball Coaches Tasked to Qualify teams

The Zambia Volleyball Association -ZAVA- has tasked the newly appointed national team coaches to deliver by qualifying teams to respective competitions.

ZAVA President SAMUEL SINYINZA says the coaches have been appointed on a two-year performance-based contract with the target of resuscitating the national teams.

SINYINZA says the aim is for Zambia to become a powerhouse at regional, continental and global events.

He says the tasks commence immediately with the Senior volleyball Women's national team in the Ditsala International Cup that will run from the 29th May to the 1st June 2025 in Gaborone, Botswana.

The appointed coaches are LACKSON MAZUMBO for the Senior Men's National team and ARNOLD SIMULEZI as the Senior Women team coach.

For the Under 20 Men's and Women's National teams JOHN MAPULANGA and TILABILENJI MVUNGA have been appointed as coaches.


MAZUMBO says he will endeavor to try and qualify the team to the 2028 Olympics as mandated.

And SIMULEZI has since named a national team to prepare for the Botswana outing.
