Hi, friends! Today I want to teach you how to apply and use the Accessibility Pass at Michigan's Adventure for customers with mental, developmental or mobility impairments which make line queing difficult.
Michigan's Adventure's accommodation system uses IBCCES Accessibility card to evaluate accommodation needs. Apply for the card at least a week before your planned trip. You will need a note from your child's doctor or therapist explaining their challenges and needs. If you are approved, you will be given a digital card.
When you arrive at Michigan's adventure, show your IBCCES card at guest services. They will issue you an attraction accessibility pass. This is a paper form that will give you your next boarding time. After the written time, you can approach your chosen ride.
Walk in the exit, against all the ride traffic, and present your Accessibility Pass to the ride operator. They will give you your next boarding time based on their current wait time and let you board immediately.
For our non accommodated friends, we are still waiting, just not in the que.
This is a great system because it's a 3rd party evaluation and you board immediately. Unfortunately, you can get ugly looks from other customers and it can be hard to go in the exit.
