🌟 This week, we are excited to highlight Alex Rett, the General Manager at the Mt. Pleasant Hampton Inn!🌟

Alex's journey in the hospitality industry began while he was a student at Central Michigan University. He was seeking a part-time job while in school and joined Lodgco in 2013 as a Front Desk Agent at the Mt. Pleasant Hampton Inn. Little did he know, this would blossom into a rewarding 12-year career with Lodgco, as he proudly manages the same hotel today! 🙌

Looking back, Alex recalls his love for travel and staying in various hotels growing up, which now makes perfect sense that a career in hospitality was his calling. From the start of his career, his passion for people and enthusiasm for providing service and support were evident, paving the way for him to become an exceptional leader both at this property and within Lodgco.

In 2022, Alex was recognized as Lodgco’s General Manager of the Year, a well-deserved honor! 🏆 He considers this achievement one of his proudest moments in his career, emphasizing that it was only made possible due to the success and support of his team.

We are grateful to have such a humble, motivated, and inspiring hospitality leader like Alex on Lodgco’s leadership team. We look forward to witnessing his future achievements in the years to come! ✨

🌟 This week we are thrilled to shine the light on John Young as our Lodgco Leader in the Limelight!🌟

John is currently the Assistant General Manager at our stunning Courtyard by Marriott in Traverse City, MI.

With a background in manufacturing and retail, John joined Lodgco in 2023, starting at the front desk after relocating to the area from Utah. Early on, he was faced with a tough decision when he received another job offer that intrigued him. However, his General Manager, Jamie Gendron, recognized his potential and strongly encouraged him to stay. We are delighted that he did, as he not only discovered his passion for hospitality but also demonstrated natural leadership skills, which quickly led to his promotion to Assistant General Manager.

John has been described by both leadership and his team as a dedicated and compassionate leader who consistently nurtures a supportive environment and fosters growth. He thrives at building meaningful connections and providing outstanding experiences for both guests and team members. John is always ready to tackle any challenge, whether it's defusing a difficult situation with a guest or stepping in to manage an unexpected audit while the GM is away for training. His kindness, respect, and support shine through in everything he does.

When asked what he loves about hospitality, John said that he draws inspiration from a Maya Angelou quote: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel," and that has resonated with him through his journey.

John's outstanding leadership and contributions to the hotel's success have earned him the title of Lodgco's AGM of the Year for 2024! 🏆

This week, we are thrilled to highlight Celia Hollenbeck as our Lodgco Leader in the Limelight! 🌟

Celia holds the position of Compensation & Benefits Manager at Lodgco, where she plays a vital role in ensuring our employees are well-supported in various workforce-related areas, including benefits, wage analysis, compliance reporting, risk management, and much more!

Celia's journey with Lodgco began in 2015 while she was completing her Bachelor's degree in Accounting at Northwood University. She started as an Accounting Assistant, providing valuable assistance to our then CFO. Her diverse skillset quickly caught the attention of several leaders, prompting her to receive training in Human Resources, which ultimately led to her promotion to Compensation & Benefits Manager. This career progression exemplifies her adaptability and eagerness to tackle new challenges. Celia is well-regarded for her diligence, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail, making her an invaluable asset to the company.

Recently, Celia celebrated her 10-year anniversary with Lodgco!! 🎉

We feel incredibly fortunate to have such a resourceful team member who supports both our employees and overall workforce strategy. We look forward to having her with us for many more years to come. ✨

This week, we are excited to highlight Rachel Joyce as our Lodgco Leader in the Limelight! 🌟

Rachel currently serves as the Assistant General Manager at our beautiful Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando East / UCF Area - a position she has held for over a year.

With a strong background in hospitality that began in food service management, Rachel joined Lodgco in April 2021 as a Guest Service Agent at the Hampton Inn & Suites in North Port. She quickly made a strong impression, advancing through the ranks. After about six months, she transitioned to the Sales Coordinator role and later became an Operations Specialist in May 2022. During her time at North Port, Rachel proved to be a valuable asset, showcasing her versatility and excellent leadership skills.

When Lodgco acquired the Orlando Fairfield in December 2023, the hotel was in need of an Assistant General Manager. Rachel expressed her interest in this opportunity, bravely taking on the challenge, which involved relocating - and we are thrilled that she did! She began her role as AGM at the Fairfield in January 2024 and has excelled in this position ever since. Management has recognized Rachel as someone who consistently steps in to help wherever needed without hesitation and her expertise in Lodgco has made her an invaluable asset for the team through the transition.

It has been a joy to witness Rachel's growth over the years with Lodgco as she has evolved into a well-rounded and dynamic manager. We eagerly anticipate her continued development and feel very fortunate to have her on our team! ✨

🌟 Today we shine the spotlight on one of our exceptional Sales Leaders, Andy Allbee, as our Lodgco Leader in the Limelight! 🌟

Andy currently holds the position of Cluster Director of Sales where he oversees the sales departments for the Mt. Pleasant Hampton Inn and the Mt. Pleasant Courtyard located on CMU's campus.

In 2014, he began his journey with an outside cleaning crew, where he was assigned as a supervisor at the Mt. Pleasant Hampton. Although he wasn’t officially part of Lodgco yet, he already felt as though he was part of the team. In 2015, the hotel’s GM reached out to ask if he would consider a maintenance role. Although Andy felt he was more of a "breaker" than a "fixer," the GM had been impressed by his work ethic and believed he could succeed in the position. Encouraged by her confidence, he accepted the role and thrived.

A year later, he saved up enough to take his wife and son to Disney for the first time. During their vacation, he kept saying, "This is the trip of a lifetime," which sparked a realization: he wanted to create many more memories like this for his family. While in Florida, he called the GM and expressed his desire to interview for a sales position upon his return.

After several interview rounds, he landed the job and has never looked back! Over his 10 years with Lodgco, Andy has progressed from Maintenance to Sales Manager, then to the first Sales/AGM position, which he held for two years. In 2023, he became the Cluster Director of Sales for both of the Mt. Pleasant hotels.

Andy has demonstrated success in every endeavor he takes on and is an immensely valued member of the Lodgco team. We feel fortunate to have him as a Lodgco Leader and eagerly anticipate many more years of his ongoing growth and achievements!
