We offer a unique way to sample beers at various craft breweries. We supply customers with a safe ride to and from different breweries in the West Michigan area in a 6-passenger tour van. The demand to experience breweries in the Grand Rapids area is on a steep rise. Two years in a row Grand Rapids has been voted “Beer City U.S.A”. People flock from all over the country to sample craft beers made in the city that Lonely Planet named the #1 US travel destination in 2014. In 2021 Grand Rapids was voted Best Beer City on USA Today. Our personable guided tours offer guest knowledge about the variety of beer stylings and about the history of beer in and out of Grand Rapids. Every public tour includes a behind the scenes brewery tour for your chance to see where the beer is created and learn about the beer making process. While we are focused largely on the Grand Rapids beer scene, we also offer tours to surrounding breweries. Every public tour includes beer samples! Want to book a private tour? We offer private tours that can stay on the regular routes or go to any beer destination in the state, you make the call. *Most tours last between 3-5 hours. Our public tours include 12 samples of beer with a food break at one the breweries (food not included in tour price). 🍺 A Piece of Grand Rapids History: The Anheuser-Busch Icehouse

Long before modern refrigeration, keeping b**r cold was a challenge. In 1905, Anheuser-Busch built this historic icehouse in Grand Rapids as part of a network of refrigerated warehouses used to help keep b**r cold during long-distance rail shipments.

Before mechanical refrigeration became commonplace, natural ice harvested during the winter was an essential part of keeping things cool.

The building’s original purpose changed dramatically on May 1, 1918, when Michigan became a dry state under statewide Prohibition—nearly two years before national Prohibition began. The law prohibited the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages, bringing major changes to Michigan’s brewing industry.

Today, this remarkable building still stands as a reminder of Grand Rapids’ rich brewing heritage. It was renovated in 2008 and became the home of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation. It is also reported to be one of only two surviving Anheuser-Busch icehouses in the United States.

From B**r City’s brewing heyday to the Prohibition era and beyond, this historic landmark has a story worth remembering!

Very cool that guitar maestro Derek Trucks, and his very talented wife, Susan Tedeschi stopped by Kusterer Brauhaus this past Monday. Derek says he likes German b**rs. Well Kusterer is the place to stop at if you like German b**rs when in Grand Rapids.

If you don't know Tedeschi Trucks Band look them up, they are an awesome band. Eric Clapton says Derek is limitless and Santana said he's the best guitar player he ever performed with. Prost!
