How do you choose among Maldives resorts that all promise blue water and overwater villas? Start with personality.

Joali is the memorable one. Where other resorts hang a few prints, Joali suspended a life-size manta ray in the trees and put a dining table inside it. Where others plant coral frames, Joali sank sculptures on the reef and let the coral move in. Even the butlers refuse to be ordinary here. The title is Jadugar, which translates to magician.

Beneath the character, the fundamentals are flawless: Forbes Five-Star four years running, two Michelin Keys, and a top-three finish in Travel + Leisure's world's best hotels this year.

Anyone can promise paradise. Personality is rarer. Reach out to start planning.

The Dewberry might be the most stylish reason to visit Charleston right now, and we're far from the only ones saying so.

Virtuoso just named it the best independent hotel in the world. Add a Michelin Key, a spot on the Travel + Leisure 500, and a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice award, and the trophy shelf is getting crowded.

The hotel occupies a restored 1964 federal building facing Marion Square, reimagined in brass, walnut, and marble as one of the finest examples of mid-century design in the South. The Living Room bar has become a destination in its own right, and the Citrus Club rooftop looks out over church steeples to the harbor, a view almost no one else in this low-rise city can offer.

You're also perfectly placed. King Street shopping, the historic district, and Charleston's celebrated restaurants are all within walking distance.

Chileno Bay is one of the few resorts we book twice for the same clients: once for the honeymoon, and again a few years later when the kids come along.

It works both times for the same reasons. The resort fronts a protected cove with calm, clear water and coral just off the sand, with paddleboards and snorkel gear waiting at the beach. Glass-walled rooms and villas keep the view everywhere you look, and a three-tier pool spills down toward the water.

Guests rave about Comal, where Baja-Mediterranean dinners arrive with the sunset, but it's TnT, the casual taco-and-tequila spot, that you shouldn't leave without trying.

Advisor tip: if you visit in winter, watch the horizon at breakfast for gray whales passing through.

This is the Cabo resort our clients grow up with. Reach out to start planning.

That dinner on the beach looks effortless. The planning behind it is not.

A private setup depends on timing, weather, dietary needs, the right table, and a team that knows what the occasion is meant to feel like. The same is true for airport assistance, a guide at the exact right hour, connecting rooms, or a surprise waiting after arrival.

These details rarely appear in the headline itinerary, but they are often what clients remember. We track them early, confirm them again, and make sure they work with the rest of the day. A special moment loses some of its appeal if everyone arrives rushed or hungry.

Tell us what matters, even if it seems small. Those are often the details worth planning most carefully.

“Wait, hotels have Michelin ratings now?” We’ve been asked some version of this a dozen times this year, so let’s decode it.

Michelin Keys: launched in 2024, awarded to hotels rather than restaurants. One Key means a special stay, two means exceptional, and three places a hotel among the world’s very best.

Forbes Travel Guide Stars: the long-standing gold standard for service. Inspectors visit anonymously and grade hundreds of touchpoints. Five Stars is the top honor and genuinely hard to earn.

Here’s our take as advisors: awards are a useful signal, not the whole answer. Plenty of Three Key hotels would be wrong for your specific trip, and some of our favorite properties fly below the award radar entirely.

The ratings tell you a hotel is excellent. We tell you if it’s excellent for you. That’s the difference. Reach out anytime to learn more!

“Wellness travel isn’t really for me.” We hear it constantly, usually right before we change someone’s mind. A few myths worth clearing up:

Myth one: it’s just spa days. Modern wellness travel includes sleep programs, longevity diagnostics, fitness retreats, and medical-grade health assessments at some of the world’s top resorts.

Myth two: you have to give things up. Plenty of programs come with exceptional food, w**e with dinner, and zero judgment. Wellness and enjoyment are not opposites.

Myth three: it requires a dedicated trip. Some of our best results come as a layer: two spa days built into a safari, a sleep program at the start of a long Asia itinerary, a few days of movement and recovery after a busy city stretch.

Myth four: it’s only for wellness people. The skeptics tend to come back the most converted.

Curious what this could look like on your next trip? That’s a conversation we’d love to have.

Wrote off Punta Cana as all mega-resorts and swim-up bars? We did too, once. Then there’s this place.

Eden Roc Cap Cana, a Relais & Châteaux property inside the gated Cap Cana community, is built around freestanding suites, most with their own private pool, spread through tropical gardens a short ride from a swimmable, white-sand beach club.

Golfers, take note: Punta Espada, the Jack Nicklaus signature course with eight holes along the Caribbean, is minutes away and consistently ranked the best course in the region.

The practical part matters too. Punta Cana’s airport has nonstop flights from most major U.S. cities, so you can be at the pool by early afternoon.

"Which Greek island should we pick?" is our favorite trick question. There are over 200 inhabited islands, and the right one depends entirely on who's asking. (And no, the answer isn't automatically Santorini or Mykonos.) Four we keep matching clients with:

Paros: for the traveler who wants the classic Cyclades, but livable. Whitewashed villages and great beaches, plus real ferry connections, a walkable main town, and prices that haven't gone Santorini yet.

Milos: for the geology nerd who doesn't know it yet. The island is volcanic, so its 70-plus beaches come in white moonscape rock, gold sand, and silver cliffs, many reachable only by boat.

Crete: for the traveler who gets bored on beach trips. Minoan palaces, mountain villages, a food culture Greeks themselves rave about, and resorts big enough to swallow a full week.

Corfu: for the one who wants Greece to look different. This is the green island, Venetian architecture instead of white cubes, cypress hillsides, and a run of new five-star openings.

Island-hopping between them is where trips get complicated: ferries, flight connections, and hotels that sell out by spring. Tell us which island sounds like you, and we'll start planning.

Did you know one of Africa's greatest safaris happens almost entirely on water?

Eagle Island Lodge, a Belmond property, occupies a private island deep in the Okavango Delta, one of the most remarkable ecosystems on Earth: a desert that floods every year into a maze of channels, lagoons, and islands teeming with wildlife.

The safari itself is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Gliding through the reeds in a mokoro, the traditional dugout canoe. Boat safaris through papyrus channels. And the lodge's signature: helicopter flights over the Delta with the doors off, which clients consistently call the highlight of their entire trip.

Water, wildlife, and almost no one else around. Reach out to start planning.
