Are you keeping up with our Fall Foliage Report? "Color continues to intensify along the base of the Southern Blue Ridge Mountains. This week sees sweetgum trees turning their harlequin colors: deep purples fading to red, pink, orange, and yellow, on a single tree! The outer tips of red maples are brushed with fluorescent orange and yellow is showing up in beeches and hickories. And rhododendrons are blooming!"

You had us at Halloween Square Dance. 🎃

👻 Two Halloween events coming up next weekend at 📍Oconee State Park!

💃 Halloween Square Dance | Friday, Oct. 30, 7-9 p.m.
Head to the Barn for an evening of square dancing with live music by the Dixie Bluegrass Boys! Stick around for Halloween-themed line dancing during halftime. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Costumes are encouraged! $3 per adult and $2 per child.

🎃 Halloween Fun | Saturday, Oct. 31, 2-7 p.m.
Enjoy games and giant inflatables at the Barn, take a hayride from 3 to 5 p.m. and finish the evening with campground trick-or-treating from 5 to 7 p.m. Children 13 and younger can visit participating campsites for Halloween treats. Costumes are encouraged! (park passports are not valid for admission into the Halloween event)

We've been telling y'all about our gorgeous waterfalls for quite awhile. Other folks are discovering them now, too.

A 100-foot-wide curtain of whitewater drops into a deep pool, and right beside it sits a soft, sandy beach. Nobody trucked that sand in. The river made it all by itself. The falls stand only
