A photo doesn’t do it justice. You can’t really tell just how massive the mountains and glaciers are. Note the TEENY tiny boat people to help with the scale of things.

And it’s truly difficult to capture how breathtaking the scenery is.

Whale watching in Juneau, Alaska—what an unforgettable experience! 🐋💙 We went out with Harv & Marv’s Outback Alaska and couldn’t have asked for a better crew. Captain Dan and our naturalist guide Cory were absolutely top-notch—knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about what they do.

It was a small group of 10 (my kind of tour!), and the boat had open decks (front and back) and a cozy cabin—perfect for spotting whales and staying warm. Hearing the whales breathe and watching them glide through the water… I remain speechlesses to describe just how cool that was.

Special shoutout to Katie, our driver, who shared so much about the area and even made a surprise stop at the Mendenhall Glacier on the way back once the fog lifted—such a treat! 🏔️

Cory also shared some incredible photos of the whales we saw—way better than anything on my phone, but memories I’ll treasure either way. Can’t recommend this experience enough!

One of my favorite little surprises just north of the Golden Gate Bridge—the Robin Williams Tunnel 🌈

Im a HUGE fan of Robin Williams and still have an autograph photo while he was onset filming Good Will Hunting.

Thia tunnel was originally built back in 1937 and was once known as the Waldo Tunnel, it got its rainbow makeover in the late '60s to brighten up the plain cement. Just a fun splash of color to greet drivers heading in and out of Marin.

Then in 2015, the tunnel was renamed to honor the legendary Robin Williams, who lived in the Bay Area and brought so much joy to the world. The rainbow? It stayed—fittingly echoing the colorful suspenders he wore as Mork in Mork & Mindy. 🎭✨

Sausalito, im going to miss you. 😍☀️

Spent the perfect afternoon exploring this charming waterfront town. Grabbed burgers and fries at Napa Valley Burger Company—because the teenager needed protein 😂🍔

Then wandered over to Sausalito Café for a sweet treat and the most amazing hot chocolate—no joke, it rivaled Ghirardelli’s. Happiness in a cup. ☕🍫

Honestly, the café would’ve been a great lunch spot too—appealing deli and soup options. The whole place was cute, cozy, and full of charm.

I recently stayed at the Argonaut Hotel, nestled in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel's nautical charm and prime location made it the perfect base for our explorations.

🏃‍♀️ We hit the ground running once we arrived and I was thankful for a cozy place to call home in the evenings.
Our City View King Room offered a cozy retreat plus a good desk for me to get some travel work done. (Yay- my travelers know who they are!🩷) A sweet view of the cable car turntable and the bay- such a quintessential SF sight!

Blue Mermaid Restaurant - 😋 The French toast for breakfast was a standout—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and topped with seasonal berries. Y’all, we Southerners know how to do breakfast💜💛💜💛and this was Sooo good! (Must have a Southern Chef in that kitchen!😂)

We ventured through iconic neighborhoods like Chinatown, Nob Hill, and Pacific Heights, and marveled at landmarks such as the Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge. A trip to Muir Woods to stand among the towering redwoods was truly humbling.

San Francisco was more than an I expected and Im so glad we stayed at the Argonaut Hotel for this trip. Stay tuned for more memories from this fun trip!
