Yesterday, a small group of Family Traveling Tips agents had the AMAZING opportunity to do an exclusive VIP Tour with our Universal Resorts Business Development Manager.

He took us on rides and gave us tips and tricks related to the parks and rides that even those of us who have been visiting Universal multiple times a year for many years didn’t even know!

We love that our agents love learning new things to make sure that all of their clients have the best information on their vacations.

We went try out the new Diamond Horseshoe lounge at Walt Disney World so that we can give everyone real a real review.

Our reservation was for 12:15, we arrived at 11:50. They checked us in and we were seated in less than 10 minutes.

We decided to order everything on the menu except the Chicken Tostadas because none of us were interested in that option 🤷🏻‍♀️

The verdict:
Queso Fundido - 10/10 - we all agreed that we would go back just for this dish

Charcuterie - 7/10 - it was different but everything on it was tasty, we just felt like there should have been more to it.

Sticky Ribs - 5/10 - the meat was very tender, but fatty, however they are VERY sweet. The beans that they sit in are very savory, but none of us really liked the beans.

The sweet golden corn fritters - 8/10 - they’re more fritter than corn, very sweet and more like a donut than a fritter

Mini hotdogs - 8/10 - these are lil’smokies not a hot dog so something to keep in mind, the pastry was very flakey and well baked, it comes with a queso dip which is the same one from the fundido and we loved that

Overall, it’s pricey, we shared among 4 people and we did leave full. If you wanted just a quick snack and drink, it’s a fun and tasty option in the AC.

Would we do it again, eh.

We know, everyone has a favorite! As the fleet grows, are your sights set on a different ship to call your favorite or are you loyal to one? My favorite is the Disney Wonder. It was the first ship I ever sailed on, and there’s just something lovely about the smaller ships.

Time sure does fly! Epic Universe celebrated its first anniversary this past summer. Whether you’ve been or not, which portal calls to you the most? Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, Isle of Berk, or Ministry of Magic?

I just absolutely adore Isle of Berk. I could walk around watching the dragons, the silly sheep, and the characters all day long. Your turn!

True confession: I am a NOTORIOUS last minute packer.

I will start making piles as I come across things for the trip in the weeks leading up to it. However, the process of actually putting items in the suitcase is not good 😆🤣 If I have an early morning flight, I am packing the night before. If my flight is late in the day, then I’m packing that morning.
