Is there one clear answer to the secret to shorter wait times?
Probably, well, yes, definitely!
You don’t always need Lightning Lane access or Express Pass for shorter wait times. If you time your vacation just right, you’ll enjoy some serious elbow room, shorter waits and even easier to score dining reservations.
I personally love the weather and vibe in early December; I'll be visiting Universal and Disney this year to enjoy the holiday cheer without the holiday crowds!
That’s not to say there aren’t other times of the year when crowds are low, because there are!

Update on Tropical Americas, the new land coming to Animal Kingdom! This new land is set to open in 2027; Disney is getting ready to close Dinoland USA permanently!
Last chance to ride Dinosaur is going to be Feb 1, 2026.
Harambe Market is set to close, or rather offer 'family friendly' options previously found at Dinoland eateries, but will reopen early 2026 with the options we know and love.
Kali River Rapids also set to close from Oct 6,2025 to December 2025.

For the best views in all of EPCOT when it comes time for Luminous, you’ve got two choices.
The Luminous Fireworks Dining Package at EPCOT lets you enjoy dinner and a dedicated seat for the show without having to rub elbows with the crowds or fight for obstructed views. One of my (many) vacation splurges involve avoiding the crowds and creating a relaxing experience for the night time shows. Gone are my days of standing for two hours in the heat to 'save my spot' only to have a dad with a tot on his shoulders step in front of me last minute. No thank you, not for me.
I will choose to dine in a relaxing environment with a clear unobstructed view from my table, thank you very much!!

Both offer stellar views, it just depends on if you’re in the mood for dishes like Bangers and Mash/Fish and Chips or Hummus Fries and Spanakopita (my fave!)

I frequently chose to dine at Spice Road Table b/c I once had an 'experience' at Rose & Crown that was less than stellar. I've since given them another try and we had an amazing time, so that opens that option back up for me (and you!)which is great because these experiences DO fill up very quickly!!
Time to vote! If you were booking this prix fixe dining experience (it’s what I would consider a splurge) which restaurant would you choose: Rose & Crown or Spice Road Table? Aaaaaaand...if you have any questions about how this package works, drop them in the comments too!

There's a great big beautiful tomorrow coming for The Carousel of Progress!
Walt Disney will be incorporated in the attraction via his animatronic!!
