The first time we've ever seen American Trappist Ale - is at a liquor store in Hoorn, The Netherlands. Hmmm. I'd like to try it, but I'd think it could be more easily purchased closer to home. Oh and when I asked the store owner, he did not recommend it anyway! Go figure - as the other options there were certainly world class

When was the last time you visited a brewery with a windmill? Is the IJ a river or is the IJ a lake? You won't care after you have the beer samplers here! Not necessarily in a high traffic tourist area, so even better you'll be drinking with the locals. A great stop in Amsterdam and very close to a tram stop - so a quick ride over and a quick ride back to your hotel and you'll easily make your dinner reservation at Five Flies.
