Started off this last Sunday in Vernon Hills trying out for Nike All American Select. Then drove 6 hours to Ohio State for Athletes Unlimited Futures tryout. Worked hard to be selected to both teams for a week long tourney set in Baltimore, MD this summer. So proud of all the hard work this kid puts in. You’re a rockstar!!!

This is why proper overhang is so important. Just had this conversation with a board president when we walked the buildings we had just completed. He asked “How come the shingles overhang the eave and rake edge and why did the other contractor that previously installed roofs left them even.”

Where were you last night between 9pm-11pm during the high winds, winter weather advisory and freezing rain?????? Were you sleeping peacefully in your bed, at home watching TV warm and dry???

TMC Exteriors LLC’s 24 hour emergency on-call team was out helping one of our clients by eliminating a water leak at one of their properties!

Great job to the crew, water leak addressed, problem diagnosed and water leak stopped.

Project update - Poor caulking at brick to wall transition causes water to get behind brick, freeze and then push brick facade away from wall. TMC Exteriors removed brick facade prepped wall and will return to install brick facade when weather allows. Wall is water tight at this time.

When you’re cement board siding panels start to pop nails, crack and begin to allow water to leak inside unit, there’s no one else to call......

When you’re previous roofer tells you that he’ll do a good job and work directly for your insurance quote, but tells you that proper ventilation is not important.....Fast forward 2 years and your plywood decking is waving back at you when you look at your roof.

Attic ventilation is essential for any roof to breath properly and to perform properly. Excess heat and the lack of air circulation can cause wood decking to fail at a rapid pace.

How important is it to install proper step flashing at roof to wall transitions and to install house wrap on non-insulated walls ? Well should at least install house wrap to a point where your flashing doesn’t empty into the wall and behind the house wrap.

Customer - “Why does my roof leak into my entry way and garage?”
1. No “kick out” flashing installed at end of wall.
2.No “ice and water” membrane used to seal roof deck to wall.
3.No seam tape at Insulation board joints.

Following proper installation procedures the first time results in no call backs and a water tight roof. When you hire solely based on price and chose the cheapest price......you’ll just end up paying for it in repairs later!!
