The Crows Nest Tattoo Studio will have a festive set up full of blow ups, wood photo prop cut outs made by your favorite local artists at the Nest, helpers in costume, and CANDY for ALL our trick or treaters! 🎃🍬🍫

****PLEASE SHARE**** October 29th is Witches night out in downtown Hastings if you love Halloween this is an event you won’t want to miss!!! The Crows Nest will be participating and going all out with specials including discounts, Halloween flash with Dylan, while the rest of our crew will be focusing on the community and KIDS! So bring your little goblins and ghouls to par take in the fun outside the shop! 🥎✨ It’s been a fun Day 1 of hosting the NSAA State Softball Tournament here in Hastings! I started the day off early this morning by welcoming all the teams, players and coaches and presented them with a welcome basket full of goodies and gifts. 💕 The day has been filled with a great crowd and great games - that are still being played! Back tomorrow for Day 2! 🤩 Nebraska School Activities Association

🥎✨ Hastings friends….it’s almost NSAA State Softball time! Hastings is once again welcoming the Nebraska High School State Softball Championships NEXT WEEK (October 14-16). This tournament brings thousands of athletes, families, coaches and fans to Hastings and it’s a great opportunity for our community to showcase our hospitality.

⭐️ We are IN NEED of volunteer positions throughout these days to either check in/validate tickets as the spectators enter the main gate. (If you have a couple hours in your day during the tournament, consider volunteering!) 😁 We would appreciate your help and would love to see you there!!

Hastings was the place to be on Saturday! 🤩 We welcomed Helens from the local area, to across the state, and even out of state!  THANK YOU to every single one of you who attended and all of the smiles, laughs, new friendships, and memories that where made! 💕

⭐️ A special shout out to all of our 30+ Downtown businesses that participated by dressing up as Helens, providing fun activities, signature items for purchase, photo opportunities, themed food/drink specials, shopping discounts, and your sweet generosity and hospitality to all of Helens! So grateful for each and everyone of you! 💓

This event was so much fun to plan and so grateful for Colleen with Colleen Williams presents for all the hard work and laughs we had together. We are forever Helens and friends! 🌸✨🩷

What began as a wonderfully ridiculous idea—“What if a whole bunch of Helens came to Hastings?”—became a downtown full of Helens and more laughter than we could have imagined.

More than once, we heard:
“I haven’t had this much fun in years” and “I can’t remember the last time I laughed this hard.”

Thank you to every single Helen who registered, traveled, dressed up, waved, sang, played along, and brought her very best Helen spirit to Hastings.

We had first-time visitors from across the state who had never shopped in downtown Hastings before—and they are already saying they cannot wait to come back. This makes my heart so happy. Come back soon!

And oh, the downtown businesses. More than 30 businesses did not merely “participate”—they jumped in feet first. They threw mini Helen parties, created games, offered specials and discounts, played the best ’70s music, dressed up, welcomed visitors, and rolled out the orange carpet for a whole town full of crazy caftans.

Thank you to the people of Hastings for waving at the Helens, smiling at the spectacle, and making visitors feel so welcome.

It made me incredibly proud to call Hastings home.

A heartfelt thank-you to Anjanette Bonham at the Adams County Convention & Visitors Bureau. We had an incredible time teaming up together to put this event on and I'm so happy to have made a Helen bestie for life.
