Sometimes the big ones eat it a-little too hard and take your bait out of the game. Always good to have good hook-cutters, split-ring pliers, and the terminal tackle to get your lure back in the game. And of course musky-buddy is holding the net and fish right where they’re supposed to be.

On the fly or on spinning gear the bass are about to begin the spring chow! Don’t wait until the general fishing opener in May. Wisconsin has a year-round C&R bass season and this next month is some of the best fishing we will see all year especially in the rivers.

Two tired out dogs, incase anybody is wondering two medium will stack in your Chevy Silverado. For most of the season the dogs ride in the bed of the truck but when it starts getting cold enough for the beard to freeze it’s nice to have them in the heated cab.

First musky (on purpose). Glad the early morning drive from Minneapolis was worth it! Fall in the northwoods is a special thing! Heres a musky from this summer, the bite wasn’t what you’d call “on fire” and we were having some tough days but after a long day you can almost always count on that sunset fish.
