Henderson is fortunate to have so many strong women leaders, and the Henderson Tourist Commission is proud to celebrate two members of its team recognized at the Henderson KY Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Soirée. Marketing Director Ellie Kellen was honored as Emerging Female Leader, and Executive Director Abby Dixon was named the recipient of the Linda E. White Woman of the Year award.

We want to extend our thanks to the Chamber for hosting an event that welcomes and celebrates women from across our community!

A meal with a head start! Did you know Red-shouldered Hawks swallow snakes headfirst?

This photo, taken in Henderson, Kentucky, captures a hawk positioning its prey before dinner. Snakes have backward-facing scales that can catch on a hawk’s throat if swallowed tailfirst, making the headfirst approach a much safer way to eat.
