We’re almost halfway through the year already and somehow that feels a little wild 😅✨

So here’s your reminder that it’s NOT too late to plan the trip you’ve been talking about since January 👀

I think one of the biggest surprises for families planning Disney for the first time is realizing…

this is NOT the same Disney vacation it was 15 years ago 😅

Because now there are Lightning Lanes and mobile ordering and dining reservations and Early Entry and Multi Pass vs Single Pass and resort perks…

…and suddenly a vacation that sounded fun starts feeling weirdly overwhelming.

I can’t tell you how many parents have messaged me saying:

“I thought I could figure this out myself and now I feel completely lost.”

And the crazy part? That feeling is so normal.

Disney planning has changed A LOT over the years.

That’s actually one of the biggest reasons I created my Disney Travel for Any Budget Facebook group ✨

Rope Drop is one of my FAVORITE Disney strategies… but I also think social media makes people do it wrong sometimes 👀

You do NOT need to rope drop every single park day to have a good vacation.

But strategically using Rope Drop on the RIGHT days?
Game changer.

I recently rope-dropped Magic Kingdom, and because of Disney’s staggered land openings, we were able to knock out:

✨ Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
✨ Starbucks
✨ Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

…all before the crowds really started building 😅

THAT is where Rope Drop becomes worth it.

Not because you’re trying to “win Disney.”

But because getting a few major things done early can completely change the pace of your entire day.

Lower wait times.
Less heat.
Less stress.
More flexibility later.

The biggest mistake I see?
Families trying to rope drop every single day until everyone is exhausted by Day 3 😂

The real strategy is knowing WHEN waking up early makes sense… and when your family would be better off sleeping in and slowing down instead.

Can I be honest about Disney planning for a second?

The “best” resort on paper is not always the best resort for YOUR family.

I will recommend convenience over luxury all day long for families with little kids.

Because after a long park day?

Nobody cares that the lobby smells fancy if it takes 3 buses, a stroller collapse, and a family argument to get back to your room.

I care about:
✔️ transportation
✔️ location
✔️ pacing
✔️ realistic park plans
✔️ whether your family will actually ENJOY the trip

Not just whether the resort looks pretty on Instagram.
