Fresh off the Disney Magic in Alaska… and wow. ❄️🚢

Glaciers drifting past the ship. Whale watching surrounded by mountains. Riding the Yukon Railway through scenery that honestly didn't look real. And yes… plenty of Disney magic mixed in.

I just put together a photo recap with highlights from our trip if you'd like a little peek into the adventure!

If Disney Alaska has been sitting on your someday list, this one might bump it higher. 💙

After months of planning, packing layers, and watching weather forecasts, we finally sailed to Alaska aboard the Disney Magic… and wow. One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor is getting to experience destinations and vacations firsthand — not just for myself, but so I can better help my clients plan trips that truly fit their family and travel style.

We recently sailed aboard the Disney Wish for the first time, and I just finished writing up a full review + trip experience post covering:

🏝️ Castaway Cay
🏴‍☠️ Pirate Night
✨ onboard tips
💙 what we loved (and what we’d do differently)

There are so many little details on a Disney Cruise that can really shape your experience — from stateroom location to port day choices — and this sailing gave me so much insight I can now pass along to clients.

If you’ve been thinking about Disney Cruise Line, I’d love to help you figure out which ship, itinerary, or sailing length might be the best fit for your family.

We are officially in our cruising era, with our first Disney Cruise Line trip under our belt—and another one just around the corner! Below is an overview of our recent sailing on the Disney Wish out of Port Canaveral. This was a short 3-night cruise with stops in Nassau and at Castaway Cay.

New Disney Cruise Discounts for 2026 (Up to 25% Off!)

Disney Cruise Line just released a new round of select sailings on sale—including Alaska, Europe, Caribbean, and Bahamas itineraries.

These are a little different than typical deals:
👉 Most are GTY (guarantee) staterooms
👉 Savings can be significant
👉 But there are trade-offs (like not choosing your exact room)
💡 This is one of those situations where having someone walk you through the options really helps—because the “best deal” isn’t always the lowest price.

We’re sailing on the Disney Wish this week and have Alaska booked on the Disney Magic this May, so I’m deep in cruise mode right now 💙

If you want help comparing sailings or pricing out your trip, I’d love to help!

When Disney releases new deals, the question isn’t just “is this a good price?”
It’s:
👉 Is this the right strategy for YOUR trip?

The new summer offers for 2026 include:
✔ Disney+ resort discounts
✔ A new after-2 PM park ticket

And depending on how you use them, your trip could feel completely different.

Some families will love this setup.
Others will be miserable with it.

That’s where planning really matters.
If you’re thinking about a summer Disney trip and want help figuring out the best approach, I’d be happy to help you build it out 💛

👉 You can read the full breakdown here:

Have you ever planned a trip where everything seemed to change overnight?

Behind the scenes of travel planning today: helping a family pull together a last-minute Spring Break trip to Universal Orlando.

Epic Universe Express Passes, hotel availability shifting overnight, and a little strategy to make sure they can skip some of the long lines.

Trips like this are a good reminder that a lot of the real work happens behind the scenes while the client just gets to enjoy the vacation.

I’ve been deep in planning mode for my April sailing on the Disney Wish 🚢 — and Disney just rolled out something really interesting that a lot of families won’t hear about until after their trip.

Disney actually has “return guest” pricing… and it works a little differently than normal discounts.

Many cruisers already know about placeholders — when you’re onboard a Disney Cruise you can reserve a future cruise with a small deposit and reduced deposit requirement, then decide later which sailing you want. Experienced cruisers almost always do this because it locks in better flexibility and pricing.

But here’s the new part 👇
Disney is now linking cruises and Walt Disney World vacations together.

Right now there are offers where:
• guests on a Disney Cruise can book a Walt Disney World trip shortly after sailing and receive a special discount
• and certain cruise sailings are offering pricing incentives when paired with a longer Deluxe-level Disney World stay

This is Disney quietly encouraging land + sea vacations again — and when timed correctly, it can be noticeably cheaper than booking the pieces separately.

It also means the “best” time to plan a future Disney trip may actually be while you’re already on one — which is why I help my clients prepare before they travel so they know what to do onboard and don’t miss it.

I’ll be testing this process myself on the Wish in April and sharing exactly how it works in real life (and what’s worth doing vs skipping).

If you have a cruise coming up, message me before you go — I can walk you through what to look for so you don’t accidentally leave savings on the table.

This past week I spent time helping a family narrow down a European cruise for a multi-generational trip.

On paper, many itineraries look similar — but once we talked through interests, walking distances, port logistics, and pacing, the right option became much clearer. For this group, a British Isles sailing ended up being the best fit because the ports, touring style, and daily schedule were much more comfortable for everyone traveling together.

Trips like this are a good example of why choosing the itinerary matters more than choosing the ship first. The goal isn’t just to see places — it’s to enjoy them at a pace that works for the people taking the trip.

This is the part of planning I enjoy most: helping families sort through the options so the vacation actually matches how they travel, not just what looks good online.
