Sally’s Safe and Connected Travel Are you still struggling to recover from Long Covid after months or even years? Have you tried every recovery method imaginable, but none seem to be working?

Fellow COVID long-hauler planning accessible trips for people with chronic illness and sharing polyvagal strategies to support nervous system expansion through travel—not crash. ✈️🧠🫁🫀 | Fora Travel Advisor Are you feeling isolated and hopeless— like you’ll never get your life back? Are you suspecting that the mental side is the cog that is preventing you from returning to a normal life? Hi, I’m Sa

lly and I help Covid long haulers who find themselves struggling alone in the dark to move out of extreme chronic fatigue and into recovery so they can find joy and meaningful activity again. I know it’s possible because I was once there too. This is the worst club in the world that none of us wanted to join, but it turns out that there are some super awesome people here! Despite what you’ve been told, recovery from Long COVID is possible. It takes time, effort, and patience. But it can be done. I know, because I have Long COVID. I understand what you’re going through. My turning point came in September 2021 when I started the Safe and Sound Protocol—an non-invasive behavioral neural intervention (delivered via audio) designed to reset the autonomic nervous system by building in more flexibility. Finally, my body transitioned out of constant immobilization and started to heal. Suddenly, I had more gratitude and connection to others, more energy, way less brain fog, and was finally able to start working full time again. This has led me to my mission of helping others do the same. I support people with Long COVID through:
-Highly personalized one-on-one coaching
-Administration of the Safe and Sound Protocol by myself and my team
-Public speaking and advocacy on Long Covid to medical and behavioral health and human resources professionals

I know what you’re going through is real, despite what your doctors may have told you. And I’m here to help!

Ever seen the sunset from the ocean? I dare you to watch one and not feel something!!

Sunsets have been keeping me going since the worst days of my illness in 2021. At the time I had the great fortune to be able to watch them from my apartment window west over Central Park. And even when I felt like total hell and “I can’t do this anymore” I would say to myself “just make it to sunset” and everything would be better.

Now I chase these glimmers all over the world.

Just because you have what I personally believe to be the worst illness in the world (but hey it’s not a completion) doesn’t mean you also don’t get to have moments (or more) of happiness.

And if for you those might be travel related, my DMs are always open.

You know my current obsession with Italy. Here is some more info for you all, this time Florence! Time to live out all y...

More than adequate hotel room. Suite no less, with Acropolis views! And 2 balconies, we love a balcony.

But two things about this hotel felt off. Firstly the lobby vibe was wrong. There’s busy and then there’s something is wrong with the level of service busy. Always a line for check in 24/7. And no priority line for globalists. I stood in line to talk to someone at front desk 3 times in one day, probably for over an hour total.

Standing in line for hours when you have POTs or other similar diagnoses is just not gonna work.

And then I went to put my meds in the fridge. But it was warm. So I called for a proper fridge (something that hotels used to happily provide on request) “I’m sorry but we can’t give you a fridge, but we can give you some ice” Fridge meds need to be stored 2-8C (which last time I checked it as not the same temp of ice) Back and forth with front desk for 30 mins.

Yeah that’s not gonna work for us.

Pre chronic illness there were many times I stayed somewhere wrong and I just sucked it up. No longer. If it feels wrong I am out. My nervous system knows when it’s wrong and these days I hear it loud and clear 🙏🏻

So I booked myself into another hotel, gathered up my stuff and checked out.

And what does this mean for you working with me as a client?

Firstly I’m not gonna recommend you subpar the places. And more than likely I will have stayed myself already if I can! And if you are on a trip and you check in somewhere and the vibe isn’t right for you, for literally any reason frankly, I will get you outta there toute suite and into somewhere awesome!

Because who gives a s**t if someone else thinks you are a princess?! It’s your bloody vacation not theirs!!

Oh and yeah so you don’t have to make the same mistake I did this was

I will never stop talking about how accessible cruises are.

Wheelchair assistance to get onboard, someone brings your bag, unpack once, wake up some place new each morning, go for a little wander (or rent a mobility aid if you need) then come back to nap in your balcony every afternoon. Blissful.

“But all those people close together” you’re gonna say…

So choose a cruise line with less than 1000 passengers, with only balcony cabins, that lets you eat every meal on your balcony all included, or that has a “buffet” where all the food is cooked to order and plated behind a plastic screen so no human except you gets near it…

And of course wear a mask and wash your hands a thousand times.

This is my third cruise and what I’ve really noticed this time is the progress! No PEM. No running outta spoons. Not that’s I’ve gone hiking or anything but I’ve seen everything I wanted and it’s been blissful!

Do yourself a favor - let me book you a cruise! You won’t regret it!

And if you wanna join us in Japan on our group cruise April 2028 comment CRUISE for more info!

For those who have been here a while, you know all my plans this summer got messed up big time.

I was meant to be in Malta from June 1 - Sept 30, with a month of vacation in August in Italy. Then my psychology license for Malta didn’t come through in time for my visa application (was menna be process in 4 months so I timed to visa to that but then the visa fines out and it showed up 2 months later 🫠)

Then somehow my month in Italy became 10 days and then it became 5 days. And 5 days was not enough!! I have long felt I need to spend more time in Italy and thankfully this trip was confirmation of that.

But Italy is not Japan. I don’t immediately exhale in the same way. Italy stretches me and inspires me to think differently. And I know living in Italy is complicated (not really my plan) and I’ll never be able to get a psychology license so I can’t work from there…

But I will definitely be back. Maybe 2028 ❤️

Who else wants to spend more time in Italy? Tell me in the comments.
