This is Maa Uttarayani temple at Ghasiandhoti, Kurunjipur, Balipatna, Bhubaneswar.

Just look at the magnificent architecture.

Locals told that temple is very old & none knows since when it's present there. The goddess is similar to NAGAKANYA images seen at Konarka.

Nice scenery on both sides of the road (takes about 4 to 5 hours ).

✓ Beautiful Bhargabhi river near about 200 mts from baliharchandi temple.

✓ You need to cross the river through BOAT and then walk about 1 km to reach the beach.

✓ It comes on the way to konark through Marine drive.

COOKING

✓ You can take your own cooked food. However , if you wish u can cook there itself near the beach.

✓ You need not to worry about the cooking utensils even , everything is available in shops near the temple.

✓ You can get fish , chicken or mutton from brahmagiri market.

✓ You can wash you utensils nearby, as there is a tube well .

STAYING

If you can , u can also plan for a night stay. There are some hotels near the beach.
